I move up to get back-to-back picks now (crucial to my planning of direction with my next picks) and i move down a smidge to get back-to-back picks in rounds 15/16 to likely get a fourth line duo or third d pairing. Giving up a 23rd rounder basically means just sacrificing a better injury replacement, assistant coach or top sub role player.

Honestly, if we are going to value spares so little, we shouldn’t waste our time with them.

I don't call them 'spares' because they are more than just injury replacements. Role players and assistant coaches can be drafted there.

This trade has me giving up my END OF ROUND 23 pick for his last round pick.

I keep my 21st & 22nd round extra picks.
