Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Three Rivers will return a 2nd player from last years Milt Dunnell Cup winner, largely based on pure value. He went 143rd last year and the chance to pair his goal scoring ability w/Rocket on the PP is quite enticing, more than ever at 146th.
Consider he edged out Joe Malone (who went 102nd in this draft) in the HOH Top-60 Pre-Merger project 2 years ago, placing 6th among all players from the 1880's through 1926. Only Nighbor, Taylor, Lalonde, Cleghorn, and Vezina ranked above him.

Regina Capitals select D JC Tremblay .
An absolute general on the ice, was like a magician with the puck on his stick, finding teammates with perfect tape to tape passes no matter the situation. Maybe one day this man will take his rightful place in the Hall.
Russell Bowie is such good value here. The pre-merger project did wonders for him. A bonafide superstar. I wanted him when I took Cowley but thought Bill was the better fit with Jarome. I could see Bowie continue to rise even though C is a deep position historically.

With 3 solid Dmen and Plante in net, it's time to shift our focus back to offense. We're going to take a guy who was the best player on the "golden era" CSSR teams that won WC Gold 3 times over those great Soviet teams of the 1970's, with an overall record of 5-7-3 against the Soviets.
A guy who was targeted specifically by the Soviets because of how dangerous he was (think the same as how Kharlamov was targeted by Canada).
A guy who won the Czech Golden Stick award the most times of that era and the most ever until Jagr and Hasek came along.
Mainly known for his offense, he also contributed defensively and killed penalties.

It's about time Martinec went. It was hard to pass on him with my last two picks, but RW wasn't a need.
He is one of the guys we considered but decided to go for a goalie instead.

I’m back here at the Victoria Skating Rink in Montreal with a coffee / if Claude makes his pick I can make my pick from here. First Stanley Cup won on the spot where I’m drinking coffee, first indoor game, first game with rules. Didn’t know they had been playing here two years previously before anyone had found them out tho. The story ran far and wide / in The NY Times even. Again staring at the Windsor Hotel where the NHL and Canadiens were founded - and probably other hockey related firsts you guys are more aware of than me.

To continue the Self congratulatory posting, I just Walked by where the NHA was founded. Also in Montreal. The building is gone. Royal Bank Tower, which was once the tallest building in the Dominion stands in its place. Perhaps not by coincidence the old Molson Bank is across the street. RBT has an amazing cafe in the main floor.

I disrespect some of my fav players play away from the puck, i a dman in youth hockey, appreciative of play away from the puck.
I went to games in the '80's & '90's and saw Bure, Coffey and a MLD regular make vulture-like circulars mid-ice, awaiting turnovers and rushes against. TV NEVER shows such unabashed waisted effort (except once with Cliff Ronning i recall - a non-ATD pick ever) until they receive a miraculous pass and surges on the counterattack.
I saw this in the building live in Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto and Detroit (when i was in Ottawa and Montreal i saw none of the aforementioned play by these guys; i saw American opponents there).
