Hey congrats man! That's awesome. Will it be your first child? Enjoy the moment and take it all in. It all happens in a flash. I blinked and my son just turned 6. And most important of all, be as present as possible for your wife. Their lives are impacted much more than ours.
Thank you! We have a 2.5 year old at home too. But this will be our first boy. I luck out in that I can take 2 months off work though.

But I expect chaos.

Well, given I'm looking for a job in real life, I'd say I've ascended to certified mediator now. :laugh:

I'll put this instance on the resume!
Good luck with the search. If you're comfortable sharing, what city/state/province are you in, and what type of role are you looking for? Or send that to me by PM if you don't want to post it publicly.

I'm based in south central Pennsylvania and spent the vast majority of the last 17 years (I served 4 years in the Air Force directly out of HS) in transportation, specifically operations logistics, though I've worn a few different hats within that field.

I'm certainly open to leaving the transportation umbrella if the job is intriguing and offering comparable pay and benefits.

Relocation is very likely out of the question at this time, as I don't want to lose time with my soon to be teenage son. I'd at least like to be in this general area as long as he's still in school. Once he graduates and begins the adult portion of his life journey I'm much more open to the idea of leaving the area/state.

Thanks for reaching out!

Philadelphia Firebirds, let’s go score some goals: Mike Bossy, RW

@BenchBrawl

sorry for the wait

hmm wasn't really part of the plan but whatever

Paul Coffey, D

Potvin and Coffey is a nasty 1-2 punch on the blueline.

I was contemplating picking Coffey to reunite him with Mario.

@BenchBrawl

Another guy I was contemplating to pair with Mario. Ultimately I would have went with Cook because I like the powerforward aspect, but Bossy would have been sweet on the PP with 66.

Les Canadiens select another player they haven't had before, great captain and powerforward Bill Cook, RW.

I feel like you've done the Mario/Cook combo before, but it might have been another long time vet.

Regardless, love the pair. Cook can handle the checking and heavy lifting, and is a much better version of a guy who rode with 66 in the early 90s.

The Mario Lemieux-Bill Cook pairing has never been done before in the ATD. I checked all the Roster Threads all the way back to ATD#6 because I didn't want to re-do what others did with Mario.

Exclusive content right here :naughty:

Possibly the combo existed in a lower draft though, I don't know.

Unlike the last team with Coffey and Chelios, wasn't even planning Coffey for this one, but I always seem to pick around this time, and I'm just a big fan, and there are many other GMs who just won't touch him lol, so I seem to always get him.

Denis Potvin is generally a super arrogant guy and never did like the Oilers but he spoke glowingly about Coffey as being one of the absolute all time best he ever saw around 1995 I remember
