I'd like an offensive C who could occasionally fill in for Primeau on the 4th line when we want a different look. And a guy we could comfortably slot into the lineup in a pinch as an injury fill in. He had real life chemistry with Andreychuk when they did play together which is a bonus.

Baltimore selects Pat LaFontaine, C

Savannah selects center Darryl Sittler, the 8-time consecutive leader in Leafs scoring, never-say-quit longtime captain, NHL record holder for a 10-point regular season game and tied record holder with Lalonde and Richard with 5 playoff goals in a game. The 1976 Canada Cup hero scored the tourney-deciding goal in OT. He is renowned for winning faceoffs and fighting to protect teammates.

The Complete Handbook of Pro Hockey - 1979 said:
In a poll conducted among writers, GMs and scouts, he rated among the league's best in six categories (best playmaker, hardest worker, most valuable player, best on faceoffs, best team leader, and a player you'd pick first for your team).

Savannah selects HHOF goaltender Tiny Thompson, the 4-time 1st/2nd team all-star Stanley Cup champion 1930's star who was the first netminder to record an assist. His HOF coach said his spectacular play was only exceeded by his endurance.

Thompson helped popularize the technique of catching the puck as a method of making a save. A competent puckhandler, he was the first goaltender in the NHL to record an assist by passing the puck with his stick to a fellow player.

The Ottawa 67's would like to welcome, from St. Cloud, Minnesota, a 6'4'' and 220 pounds behemoth, an instrumental parts in the two cup run of Calgary in th '80, Bemidji State alumni, Joel Otto.
