The Undercard

owensbatista.png

1. Kevin Owens vs. Dave Bautista
Singles Match

We’re going to start off with a banger in our opener with a matchup of two world champion brawlers in a dream match scenario. Dave Bautista once again makes his return from billion-dollar Hollywood movies against a new-generation breed of battler. Owens was most recently the challenger for the PCW Men’s World Championship, so the winner here could earn himself an opportunity.

bellasbakerford.png

2. The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie Bella) vs. Britt Baker & Penelope Ford w/ Rebel (not Reba)
Tag Team Tournament Final
PCW Women’s Tag Team Championship

Due to their differences, a connection was broken and previous title holders were forced to their titles. A 16-team tournament was held to determine new champions and we have arrived at the final in a matchup of old (or maybe far less recent) vs. new breed of women’s wrestlers. Long-time popular sisters and Hall of Fame-inducted Bella Twins vs. the local roots tag team of Pittsburgh’s Britt Baker (with her manager, Reba) and Philadelphia’s very own Penelope Ford, the latter sure a hometown favorite)

IMG-5403.jpg

3. Shaquille O’Neal, Eddie Kingston, Damian Priest, Pat McAfee, Toru Yano, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Rush, Santos Escobar, Brian Cage, Marko Stunt, Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy, Umaga, Abdullah the Butcher, Dino Bravo, Nigel McGuinness, PCO, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso
Over-the-top-rope Battle Royal

A battle royal as been assembled to determine a #1 contender for a future Commonwealth Championship Opportunity. With many debuts and surprises, there is a great unpredictable nature. With all three color color commentators scheduled (with Kingston returning from injury - see below), Renee Paquette joins on commentary.

iolita.png

4. Io Shirai (w/ Poppy) vs. Lita
Ladder Match
Inaugural PCW Women’s Commonwealth Championship

PCW prides themselves for having a strong women’s division and because of that depth it was determined by chairman G. Kim Johnsson that a new singles championship was to be made active, along with naming a new GM: Kairi Sane. Kairi, who revealed the title design as her first action on an episode of Thursday Night Jawn, was given the authority to name two former world champions the opportunity to be the first title holder. Preferring to then have the title raised above the ring, it was apparent who those two women would be. Lita and Io-san were selected for the inaugural match for the PCW Women’s Commonwealth Championship in a Ladder match.

Includes Poppy playing Io Shirai's entrance

addictionortons.png

5. The Addiction (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian)(c) vs. The Ortons (Randy Orton & Cowboy Bob Orton)

I Quit Match
PCW Men's Tag Team Championship

Thankfully, as the champions, this match was booked before another storyline was in another company played out, so Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian may continue to team together so long as they remain champions. Most recently, they had been feuding with Randy Orton and another partner who had previously earned his respect but they had failed to gain the tag team championship. But Orton still has designs on defeating SCU, and given previous stipulations, designs on dissolving the team. This will require tapping into the sadistic side of his persona, and after various attacks, Orton compels Daniels and Kazarian to eschew their SCU personality in favor of their more aggressively persuasion that is The Addiction. Orton will need a different tag partner to draw off the new stakes raised and introduces none other than his father - Cowboy Bob Orton, as both will now fully appreciate the even greater bond than that of the longstanding tag team. The challenge made is an I Quit match - a unique facet. The end result being either the like-family Daniels and Kazarian being forced to quit on the other and the end of their careers together, or actual family of a father and son having to live with each other having one quit on the other.

walterbrody.png

6. WALTER vs. Bruiser Brody
Singles Match
#1 Contender Match

An all-time match up of giant dudes who can do any thing that giant dudes do, der Ring Generale draws one of the few people who is demonstrably bigger than he is in Bruiser Brody. To the victor go the spoils of being an imposing challenger to the PCW Men’s World Champion decided later on the card. WALTER has not yet reached the heights of the top of the company, while Brody is an obvious long-time, universally respected favorite. Remember, the mat is sacred.

miztakahashi.png

7. The Miz (c) vs. Hiromu Takahashi
Singles Match
PCW Commonwealth Championship

Takahashi has signed for his return to wrestling by making his PCW debut at Wrestlevania V. As the Commonwealth Champion, it is the Miz who makes the challenge to what he sees as his Japanese counterpart, and claims he will make this Hiromu’s moment, however Takahashi blew off a scheduled MizTV appearance, yet still appeared on that week's show. While the flash between the two is comparable, obviously we all know who has more substance. With so much charisma and talent apparent, Takahashi is sure to become a new top star if he were to gain a championship in his first match.

And now, for our taglined "Double Hell Double Main Event"

moxleypunk.png

8. Jon Moxley (c) vs. CM Punk (w/ Living Colour)
Hell In a Cell
PCW Men’s World Championship Match

Jon Moxley, champion now for coming up on one year here in PCW, and had his most recent title defense a couple months ago, was then addressed by chairman G. Kim Johnsson to announce to the world and specifically to Moxley, the return of a prominent and formidable future opponent, signed under condition of receiving a world championship match, and the chairman wish to make sure Moxley was the first to know of the return of CM Punk, who promptly attacked Moxley (who then felt that he was being set up). On TNJ, Punk explains oh why, oh why, did he decide to come back. Well, for one, the offer was good enough. And combined with being away after all these from PCW, he felt compelled to prove that he could not only do what he does best, but do it, and everything else better than anybody else, including hosting a one-hour talk show (currently hosted by Renee Paquette, which he says to her face in an interview). Prompt the attack by Moxley, which quickly became untenable and both guys fought across the arena and into crowds and backstage. An attempt to diffuse the situation by booking a tag team match that included once-allies of both guys (Punk & Gallows vs. Moxley and Kingston) solves nothing as Moxley’s propensity for violence and Punk’s propensity for aggression blows over requiring an intervention by the chairman when Kingston is injured (but as he tells Moxley, he will be fine). The chairman shares backstage with both guys separately that their actions are out of control as Moxley reminds him that he was set up by the chairman (which the audience is led to believe was inadvertent), and Punk claims that this is what the chairman wanted: two cult heroes of of the Philadelphia wrestling scene in the main event of the biggest show in the history of the company. The champion: Jon Moxley, very comfortable in an aggressive environment. CM Punk is the challenger in the “city where he got over,” making his return to the pro wrestling for this match. The chairman now needing to own his role in the loss of control, invites Moxley and Punk ringside decides that for everyone’s safety and lack of liability, the match at Wrestlevania 5 must be held inside a Hell in a Cell (we know how this usually works though) as both guys are blocked by security, with the chairman looking on nervously. Living Colour has been signed to perform “Cult of Personality” once again.

Includes live performance by Living Colour:

In fact, we'll bring Living Colour back out for an encore performance as the ring must be prepared for the second half of the main event.

9. Megumi Kudo (c) vs. Sasha Banks

200V Double Hell Double Landmine Exploding Barbed Wire Exploding Ring No Disqualification Deathmatch
PCW Women’s World Championship

As being the favorite performer of the chairman (something that’s been made known previously), Sasha Banks has had many different types of opportunities in dream matches and being a tag team champion, but she has not yet made it to the top as PCW World Women’s Champion. In this, now, the fifth Wrestlevania, it may not be her last chance but she has had her greatest momentum in her time in PCW.
The current champion is the Japanese legend, “Queen of the Deathmatch” from the old Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling, Megumi Kudo, a former 6-time FMW World Women's Champion and one of their top stars, who is having a surprise run at the top even though her style of wrestling is not really conducive for a modern-day weekly wrestling TV programming, but then again, we are in a pandemic where we’ve had to adapt to restrictions on crowds and have the latitude to take more risks (for lack of a better term).

So, the time is now for Sasha Banks to be the challenger. The contract signing (presided over by GM Kairi Sane) runs a snafu where Sasha Banks refuses to sign and cuts a promo where she says that if she is to prove that she is the best wrestler, then she must be able to wrestle the best in every kind of style, which is to say that Sasha is compelled to beat Megumi Kudo in her style of match. Without the words being said, Megumi obliges and Kairi withdraws contract to be re-written. It is presumed that the audience is aware what this means as they pop.

With Sasha and Megumi consulted in the next episode, a new contract is rewritten to be signed the following week, where at the chairman GKJ once again compelled to interject and explain exactly what stipulations are added and that PCW cannot be held liable for injury even though all safety precautions will be taken and adhered to in a “200V Double Hell Double Landmine Exploding Barbed Wire Exploding Ring No Disqualification Deathmatch,” and is (likely) the only time he will ever allow this match to happen.

-Two sides of ring will have barbed wire with 200-volt electrical charges intertwined in the ropes, but ALL sides will have ropes (not a given in these types of deathmatches)
-On two sides of the floor there will be landmines in the form of barbed wire-laced boards.
-There will be a 5-minute countdown along with a 10, 15 and 20-minute warning prior to the ring exploding whether the match is over or not. If there is no winner before the ring explodes, the match will be declared a draw. Impact is not paying for this bomb, however management expects the match to be concluded given it's other stipulations and they are not naive about this in the slightest. Not at all.
-No disqualification (no shit).

The chairman though already has his hands full as previously explained in other builds, and leaves GM Kairi again to preside over the new contract signing. Sasha is now happy to sign, but this time, it is Megumi who will stir things makes an announcement in Japanese that appears to shake up Kairi who must translate that Megumi says that Sasha is her dream opponent and will retire after this match, which makes the stakes for Sasha as high as possible.

Due to logistical issues, this obviously must be the second half of our Double Hell Double Main Event and final match since the ring will be completely destroyed. The Fire Marshall has given his clearance for this event and adequate emergency personnel will be available.[/QUOTE]

Show Opening:
Todd Pettengill opens the show, welcoming the crowd. Almost immediately, he is interrupted by aggressively squeaky pop music. Its 3 Count! With Tank Abbott!
Abbott: We’ve decided to open tonight’s show, since we obviously have been snubbed for the main event, AGAIN! So tonight, we’re having ourselves a talent show. We’re demanding another 3-man act come out and challenge us!
Abbott and 3 Count pantomime impatient waiting, watch checking. Decide to leave.

NACW Women’s Championship – Singles Match
Bayley (c) vs Jazz
The Build:
Bayley has been riding high since regaining the NACW Women’s Championship. Spreading her message of positivity, The Hugger has become a real fan favorite. Action figures, t-shirts, official headbands and slap bracelets have been selling like hot cakes at the NACW merch table. Bayley has never known such highs and is loving it. But what goes up, must come down.
Jazz has returned to the pro wrestling world and is sick of seeing Bayley make a mockery of professional wrestling. Jazz has made a habit out of terrorizing Bayley fans at ringside, taking their headbands and slap bracelets, breaking their action figures and spitting on their t-shirts. Nobody wants to mess with Jazz.
With the stage set, will Bayley overcome the nasty evils of Jazz? Or will the menacing Jazz rule over the NACW Women’s Division with fear and an iron fist?

NACW Junior Heavyweight Championship – Singles Match
Spanky w/ Consequences Creed vs
Roderick Strong w/ Dave Mastiff & Kip Sabian
The Build:
Roderick Strong has been running roughshod over the backstage area for quite a while. Clad in his leather jacket while flanked by his two goons Dave Mastiff and Kip Sabian, there are seemingly nobody who can take the Junior Heavyweight Championship from Strong. Strong has been bullying people in the back, utilizing his goons to hold would be opponents upside down, for Strong to kick them in the face.
Strong has taken an enjoyment out of bullying poor Spanky. Most recently, Spanky arrived for his match against Strong on weekly TV only to find his gear cut up with scissors and thrown into the shower. Strong lent Spanky a spare singlet from Mastiff, which Spanky could not possibly fit in and had to forfeit the match.
Consequences Creed, watching from the sidelines, has decided to take Spanky under his wing, and show Spanky how to fight. Will this be enough for Spanky to finally vanquish his tormentors? Or is this another elaborate prank designed to humiliate Spanky again?

NACW North American Championship – Best 2/3 Falls Match

AJ Styles (c) vs KENTA
The Build:
KENTA has been a man obsessed with regaining the North American Championship. He has not held NACW gold since winning the tag titles last year, but the reign did not last long. Kenta has begun taking aim at the American way of life. He does not appreciate the loud fans or the hot dogs they stuff down their gullets. KENTA has taken on the initiative of trying to have cell phones banned from ringside and from fans. KENTA is tired of performing incredible feats only to look up to fans staring at their phones. This recently came to a head when KENTA noticed Styles’ son backstage, playing games on an iPhone. KENTA took the phone from the youth’s hand and smashed it on the floor. Style obviously took exception and the two brawled in the back.
KENTA refuses to apologize for the act, instead offering advice for AJ to apologize to his own son for being an unfit father. Styles has made it clear to KENTA that their upcoming match for the NACW North American Championship is going to be a fight. In the end, will KENTA regret his brash actions against Styles as a man and a father? Or will AJ be calling KENTA “sensei” after the bell rings?

Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony
Todd Petengill joins us once again with a trophy in tow. Todd tells us all we’re here for a special night as NACW honors a legend in the sport of pro wrestling. Todd gives a great introduction for one Max Mini. Max comes out with his translator, and he is ecstatic to be receiving some recognition for all the minutes he entertained North American fans in 90s WWF. While Max is accepting, we hear a familiar horn section.

Maryse Oullet: This is an absolute travesty! Max Mini? Are you joking me right now? Da trophee is beeger than himself! These poor fans are starving tonight for the sight of a real man and you give them Mini Max! Shame on you Todd. Shame on the NACW. Let me re-introduce a real man to you all, my client, RICK MARTEL!

Martel: Ha-ha that’s riiiiiiight, I am a REAL man. Real sized and real pissed off having to see this hideous abomination in the ring!

Martel and Maryse make their way to the ring.

Martel: Now then you little pipsqueak, why don’t you blase off somewhere else while I address my fans here tonight in America. Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Rick Martel, but you already knoo dat heh-heh. Apologies you must look upon the upsetting image of Mini Max here heh-heh, but lucky for you I am set to face the trailer park trash that is Jamie Noble. Once I am finished with Noble, I am looking at you Randy Savage heh-heh. Yes, Rick Martel wants the NACW World Heavyweight Championship, and I’m….not….sure…that you….

Martel is distracted while following Max Mini with his gaze, who is still in the ring and handing his trophy off to someone outside the ring. Martel drops the microphone and lunges towards Max Mini, delivering a devastating big boot to Max’s face. Martel picks up Max’s trophy and breaks it over Max’s prone body.

Martel: I TOLD YOU ALL! GET HIM OUT OF DE RING! RICK MARTEL CANNOT CONCENTRATE WITH SUCH UGLINESS! Now, what was I saying, oh yeah, Randy Sav-
Martel is cut off by the arrival of his opponent, NACW stalwart Jamie Noble.

Singles Match

Rick Martel w/ Maryse Oullet vs Jamie Noble
The Build:
Rick Martel has been on a tear since securing the services of Maryse Oullet, who has created a career path for Martel that is leading him straight up the card. Martel has been cutting promos weekly on Randy Savage and how his days as champion are numbered. Savage has left these promos unanswered and seems to suggest he doesn’t even know who Rick Martel is.
Ugliness, boorishness, loudness and brightness are some of the things Martel has taken aim at here in NACW. Jamie Noble is his next target, the redneck pig, as Martel calls him.
Will Martel continue his new-found dominance here in NACW? Or will Noble teach Martel a lesson about judgment?

NACW World Tag Team Championships – Triple Threat Match
The British Bulldogs (Davie-Boy Smith & Dynamite Kid) (c) vs
World’s Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas) vs
#FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler)
The Build:
The British Bulldogs were finally able to call themselves Tag Team Champions in NACW following their victory over the World’s Greatest Tag Team 3 short months ago. This was a feud born out of mutual respect, that eventually turned ugly. Now having lost their rematch, the WGTT have proposed one last ditch effort, if WGTT lose, they will change their name, and refer to the Bulldogs as the greatest. Davie Boy and Dynamite are reluctant to accept, since it’s been apparent that Haas and Benjamin are becoming increasingly more desperate. There is no telling what they will do once backed into a corner.
During the contract signing, free agents #FTR crashed the ring. Harwood and Wheeler mocked Haas and Benjamin for having titles they can’t back up. The Bulldogs signed the contract, and said whoever wins between those two teams can also sign.
The following Monday on NACW High Voltage, the match between WGTT and #FTR ended in a no contest when the referee lost control of the melee. Upon witnessing this, Davey Boy and Dynamite came out and said “you know what? We’ll take yas both”.
With the scene set, who will walk out of Hearts on Fire with the titles, and the bragging rights?

Singles Match – Butler Match
Dusty Rhodes vs William Regal w/ Drake Maverick
The Build:
Dusty Rhodes has been a thorn in General Manager Regal’s side for some time now. Regal has been trying to find ways to weasel himself into the World Heavyweight Championship picture in NACW but is always thwarted by Dusty and his meddling. Recently, Regal attempted an appointment with the Queen to receive her official endorsement as Britain’s challenger for the NACW World Heavyweight Championship. Unfortunately, Dusty tagged along and made a mockery of Regal as a standard tourist. Much to Regal’s shock and horror, the Queen dubbed Dusty her favorite wrestler, and asked Regal why he hasn’t given Rhodes a shot at the world title. This enraged Regal to no end who attempted to attack Dusty in the palace, embarrassing himself in front of his Queen.
During a match between Dusty and Regal’s butler, Drake Maverick, Regal tried to get involved but was once again thwarted. Dusty left with Maverick, forcing him to be Dusty’s butler for the week. After one week, Maverick declared himself the world’s #1 Dusty Rhodes fan, which did not sit well with Regal. Regal has had enough. He wants a match with Dusty with contendership to the world championship on the line. Dusty wanted to make things interesting, so whoever loses must serve as the butler to the victor for a 3 month period. Driven mad by anger, Regal agreed. Following a distraction from Maverick, who had been faking his fandom, Regal was able to leave Dusty bloody in a pile in the ring, and signed the match contract in Dusty’s blood.
Will Regal get a shot at the gold he lusts for so much, or is he playing into a trap set by the cool and collected Dusty?

NACW World Heavyweight Championship – Singles Match
Randy Savage (c) w/ Miss Elizabeth vs Shinsuke Nakamura w/ Sonny Ono
The Build:
When he was a boy, Shinsuke Nakamura grew up in poverty, in slums in Japan. Raised by just his mother, Nakamura would often go hungry in Japan, and would turn to crime to support himself and his family household. One day when in a convenience store fighting with a shopkeep not wanting to lose his profits, Nakamura caught a glimpse of a magazine that had been knocked over in the scuffle. His eyes locked with hers. Miss Elizabeth. Obsessed, Nakamura began to watch American wrestling. His attention locked on Randy Savage, the hot headed, fan favorite world champion of NACW. The hot headed, fan favorite world champion who often mistreated Nakamura’s love, Miss Elizabeth.
Nakamura would train, and train hard. Becoming an accomplished Japanese pro wrestler, fueled by his passion for Elizabeth and his anger to teach Savage a lesson. His dominance and ruthlessness quickly caught the eye of generous benefactor Sonny Onoo, who would sponsor Nakamura once hearing his story. He promised Nakamura that he would use his connections in America to make the match, if Nakamura impresses in Japan.
Randy Savage has been on top of the mountain in NACW. He has beaten everyone there is to beat, and has fame and glory like never before seen in professional wrestling. Savage appears to have just one weakness, his wife and manager, Miss Elizabeth. Savage’s enemies often resort to tactics involving hurting Elizabeth to throw Savage off of his game. This has resulted in Elizabeth being seen less and less, with Savage demanding she stay in the back to avoid danger, and avoid her being used against him. Most recently, Savage got into a brawl backstage with Rick Martel after he saw what he is convinced was Martel hitting on Liz.
During a ceremony where Savage is cutting the ribbon on a new Circuit City in downtown LA, Nakamura and Onoo crashed the event. Nakamura handed Elizabeth a single Japanese cherry blossom as a token of his admiration. This sent Savage off, who demanded a match with Nakamura. Nakamura simply said “sorry. No speak English”, sending Savage into a rage as he attacked security to get to Nakamura. In the brawl, Nakamura landed a devastating knee strike to Savage’s face, kocking off his sunglasses and knocking out Savage. Standing over Savage, Nakamura put on the Macho Man glasses and made exaggerated American body building poses. Then, worst of all, Nakamura twirled Liz, dipped and kissed her, before escaping in Onoo’s limo.
Savage has been driven to the brink of insanity by Nakamura and Onoo, and wants more than to get even. He wants the head of Shinsuke Nakamura.
On last week’s go home episode of NACW High Voltage, via satellite, Nakamura had one request for Savage, “bring the madness…please.”
Will Savage get his revenge and tear Nakamura limb from limb? Or will Nakamura’s head games prevail and make Savage his own undoing? And does Rick Martel plan to make his presence known? Find out, at NACW Hearts on Fire!

A great card from KingHollywood, as always.

GKJ did alright too. I think Walter vs Brody would be excellent.

This was actually a really hard matchup for me to vote in.
When it comes down to it I think that I like @GKJ 's roster better however I really like @KingHollywood's execution. There are a lot of really interesting dynamics at play in his card and a lot of creative uses of some wrestlers.

Because I think I would be more engaged in Hollywood's actual showy vote went to Hollywood!

Tight tight match up

These cards are quite different but KingHollywood has more things that I'd like to see without any wrestlers I really dislike. The Rhodes vs. Regal angle is probably my favourite in the draft this year and a natural fit.
