I think Hextall Sr. is better than all of them personally. (all the RWers mentionned on this page)

Neely is twice his size and a better sniper, thats all I can think of.
St. Louis has twice his speed, and a better passer.

...

Not to mention St. Louis has the same number of top-5 goal finishes, a better top season, more contribution to team success, better all-star selections, greater career numbers, etc.

If Scam Neely is a HHOFer, then St. Louis will be too. No doubt.

I don't see it. How unforgettable do you have to be to have that kind of scoring record paired with that kind of Hart record?

Hart record and being unforgettable or not is subjective , scoring record is objective. And what about all-star voting? (anyway I'm not saying hart record is useless , far from it , but who cares if Hextall won goal scoring title by being easy to forget? the goal of hockey is not to shine and thrill the journalists who votes for the hart).

Either way you can't take his offensive statistics away , and while his era was weak , it wasn't the war years.

I think the weakness of the war years is overstated next to the weakness of the surrounding years. But it brings up a lot of question marks when a player leads the league in scoring, but barely makes a dent in Hart voting.

then I hope someone will be able to find some answers.I tried my best last year but finding infos on Hextall Sr. is difficult.

That's the thing, with older players, we have limited resources, so it can often be difficult, that's why we have to trust our instincts. And my instincts tell me that Hextall wasn't much more than his numbers.

It's not like Neely tore up Hart voting either, eh?
