The players have to pay taxes in each city they play in. So if they played against the stars they would pay taxes in texas. Its more complicated than one t4. They also probably have high paid accountants that know how to hide their money. More money is always more money you just be more creative with it.

That is why Stamkos' contract is structured in mostly bonus not salary. Even if they paid all of the jock tax, they still play half of their games at home. You can't deny that TBL, DAL, and NSH have take home pay advantage.
