hmm guess there is some 1 chance 1 of them plays some nhl games next year. guessing asp has a decent chance to see some nhl games next year.
Hope ASP in NHL next season, but first they need to trade for his partner/mentor . We keep Edvinsson and Seider together, A jo should be third pair .

In theory I think a Chairot-ASP pairing could work if Chariot commits to playing a simple defensive game. He could keep the flies away allowing ASP to play free.

Maybe Chiarot with AJo and Holl with ASP, but I hope they trade for someone else.

Which he won't do. He was asked at the start of the season what he does to help his partner (Mo) as a defensemen and he just blew it off saying he just goes out there playing his game and the pair will gel over time. Chia would consider himself the puck mover on a pair with ASP...

More likely that Yzerman will wait for free agency than trade for a top 4 dman. Ekblad, chychrun, provorov, orlov among others all currently slated to be free agents after this year. Would all help our back end bigtime.

I could see maybe provorov being traded at the deadline. If we pick up someone like that and sign them I'd be ok.

Meh.. Seider is a true two way guy so naturally there are many opportunities for his partner to jump in as well.

With ASP you have a truly dynamic offensive dman. In a scenario like that I think Chairot could have an easier time deferring the role of primary puck mover to his partner.

Time will tell.

Chiarot would be excellent defansman if he never crossed blue line

With Petry as his partner the puck would never leave the zone if Chiarot didn't carry it out. And I don't think it's a bad thing for him to do occasionally, and it's up to the rest of the team to read what's happening and react accordingly.

Which I think has been a real issue this year. We see so many passes go to spaces where someone clearly should be but it's like they don't trust each other enough to just get there when they should. Hoping that changes.
