On this one I have no inside information but I constantly just keep thinking about Panarin Minnesota. They're going to have a bunch of cap space this summer and they're going to be trying to convince kaprizov to resign. It could be an interesting opportunity for them and the belief is that they don't want to spend the money to resign rossi. Rangers could definitely use a Young Center. I wonder what that trade looks like...

wild aren't taking on Panarin after this accusation, and no teams will unless they are able to get more ingo. MN media is the worst with these types of things even more than Canadian media.

Unfortunately it’s commonplace for teams to overlook the absolute worst behavior if it gives them a chance to sell more tickets and win games. Panarin might not be a fit for Minnesota but I highly doubt it would be because of the recent events. If the cost was reasonable and Minnesota FO thinks he could help improve the team they would make the move

The only way the Rangers will be able to trade Panarin is if they retain 50% and throw something else in. They will get nothing in return. A buyout would be better.
A buyout doesn't offer any financial advantage to the team with how his contract was structured. They'd save ~$670k on the cap this year and then have a $333k cap penalty next year. They're not going to have essentially $10M of dead cap this year with no flexibility of being able to make a move to replace his production in the lineup
