And thus, possibly, costing her job.Not go to his room ALONE would be the easiest way.
As always. It's the same thing every time any allegation against an athlete hits the news. People condemn obviously terrible, unacceptable behavior (AUTO ASSUME 100% TRUE. PEOPLE NEVER LIE FOR MONEY OR REASONS. EVER. THAT'D BE IMPOSSIBLE). Pat themselves on the back because it makes them a good person and chastise anyone who says there might be two sides to a story. Heck, even in the many instances where the allegations are definitively proven false (cue the trash "study" claiming this never happens despite multiple infamous cases), these folks just go on about their day as if they didn't wrongfully call for someone's head. Rinse. Repeat.A lot of people making a ton of assumptions here based off extremely limited information.
"Yeah, mr. Panarin here has clearly acted wrongly here and will be dealt with. However, it's probably best to avoid further issues, so you are demoted from your position and transferred back to office duty."How‘s that.
It's because a lot of people from Russia also called out Nazarov at the time, siding with Bread. As far as I remember Nazarov talked a few years ago about another case with Panarin and a woman back to when Artemii played in Russia. People here called it Putin's provocation...
Most Rangers fans on this site are quite clearly disgusted you fool.I don’t think we’ve seen a team implode like this in a while.
And rangers fans somehow defending this?! Come on, at least pick one of the 100 other things that went horribly this year to try and defend instead. Wouldn’t make the rangers look like any less of a joke, but still.
spot on and more eloquently put than me!As always. It's the same thing every time any allegation against an athlete hits the news. Who knows what happened here. Obviously Panarin is scum if this is how it went down. Duh. 100% of people agree with that. And no, a settlement doesn't mean jack shit. Now, if a journalist could do their damn job and ballpark the settlement amount, that'd at least provide some context to go off of.
Oh wait, the original source on this is Katie f'ng Strang?!?! She's been proven a liar/embellisher/intentional misleader multiple times throughout her career. No, doesn't auto mean she's lying here....but she's a POS and a sad excuse for a "journalist".
Btw you folks quoting the allegations, but conveniently leaving out the FACT she didn't report this incident for months and only did so after being reprimanded for giving anxiety meds to a player should be ashamed of yourselves.
"There is no record of the woman reporting the incident to law enforcement. She also did not immediately alert the team. But about three months after the alleged sexual assault, she informed the team as part of an investigation into a separate incident. The team learned that the woman, whose anxiety around airplane travel was well known among team members, had shared her anti-anxiety medicine with a player who had the same issue. She was placed on paid leave pending the outcome of that investigation.
The female employee felt she was treated unfairly, according to team sources, and she then informed the team about the alleged assault." - Strang
Is it though? What if that's what they usually do consensually? It's not automatically disgusting.....That is one of the scenarios I was referring to earlier where we don't have enough details to judge him, just his actions. But guess what? In that scenario, him pinning her down to the bed is definitely wrong and disgusting... even if they slept together previously. Even if he thought pinning her down was playful, in the moment.

In what way it’s officially over ? The matter has been settled and people will forget about it in a couple weeksIt's officially over for the New York Rangers, holy f***
Kudos to the fans looking beyond his stardom
While I'm not a fan of how Strang interprets certain stories, do you have any examples of her making up or lying about details? That's a pretty bold accusation there, not one I'm used to seeing about that individual. As always. It's the same thing every time any allegation against an athlete hits the news.
