That pass by Kaner, and Toews inside out on Orpik were both sick. I love that duo. I might rather have Toews and Kane at 6.3M each than Crosby and Malkin at 8.7M each. Toews is the best leader in hockey and those two are just beasts. They don't put up AS gaudy numbers but both know how to step it up under pressure. Combined 12.6M vs 17.4M.

I don't get it, honestly. What is he hoping to achieve with any other organization? Just play out, retire, and enjoy life after hockey.

I actually think he's doing Lou a favor. That seems to be a trend in NJ. Let Lou get some assets for him rather than just retire a Devil.

Why trade for him? I can't think of a contender that he can start on. And if it's not a contender why trade for him? Unless it's a contender that has a workhorse goalie that they want to give a breather to, but then I can't imagine the return being high.

Think the Miller trade wasn't that good for the Blues. They should've went after an elite offensive player. The reason for the downfalls the past 2 playoffs falls primarily on lack of scorers/finishers, despite being a top tier puck possession team. It didn't help that they traded their leading scorer last yr for Steve Ott. Armstrong better pony up the farm for Vanek.
