Is this guy drunk? Am i taking crazy pills or he actually thinks Tanner Glass is a good player?
http://www.nhl.com/ice/m_blogs.htm?id=41023

He didn't actually say Glass was a good player. You might be drunk

As for the media's take on Glass, there are times when his spot in the lineup has been questioned and other times when he has been praised. For example, Glass was a solid player for the Rangers in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, passing the so-called eye test. He was effective in his role; not great, but effective. Yet there were times in the regular season when it looked like Glass was staying in the lineup simply because he could fight, which is an old-school way of thinking and not totally necessary in today's NHL. The Rangers have other players who serve as deterrents, because in the League today you're a deterrent if you have the puck, not if you can drop the gloves.

He said he was effective in his role on the 4th line. I don't agree with his assessment, but I don't see him saying Glass is a good player here.

why does his bit on the Penguins not even mention Kessel?

Kessel is part of the "top heavy" forward unit he mentioned in the Pen's 30 in 30 video. I'm glad he admitted he undersold their offensive depth and he addressed it here. Sure he could have said Kessel again, but he had talked about Kessel for most of the video segment.

I'd argue that Tanner Glass played the best hockey of his career at times in these past playoffs.

Mind you that's saying absolutely nothing and he was still the worst or 2nd worst player on the ice at every time...but still. He wasn't actively losing the Rangers games like he's been prone to do.

He was also somehow worse with the Rangers than he was with us to start the season.

He was good for the style of game he plays. Which is run around, hit people and don't be a liability in your own end.

If I was running a team, I'll take guys who play the puck and not be liabilities in their own end.

Crazy to think this team had Glass, Adams playing on a nightly basis. Not trying to diss fourth liners (they're important), but those guys were just bad.

Vitale however, was a legend. We were wrong to give up on him.

glass still sucked in the playoffs but he went from being the worst player ive ever seen in the regular season to just being a poor 4th line player in the playoffs which was a big enough jump in play to come across as "good"

Effective = good, solid = very good.

The guy is a moron. Eye balls test also makes him a drunk.

Case closed.

Wild assistant coach Sydor joins the club of the NHL's drunk drivers, as per a local news station. And he's not messing around, according to that report he was hammered beyond what a lot of people can take (with a BAC of .3) and having a minor in the back seat. Jesus Christ...

A BAC of .3 is absolutely insane. Like, I'm astounded the guy was even conscious. Good lord.

Incredibly stupid, selfish, dangerous thing to do. I hope he gets the help he needs.

This has been an embarrassing summer for the NHL and some disgusting **** from the individuals doing it.

DUI and fleeing the scene, DUI and child endangerment, drug smuggling, rape case, and a domestic violence case being sentenced.

Otherwise known as a normal day for the NFL during the offseason.

Worthless piece of trash, especially endangering a child. I have no sympathy for people like that. And if you want to pull the alcholism disease bs card, these people have more than enough money and resources to get treatment.

I'm more angry at ROR for pulling a frat boy, I'm an invincible, famous athlete stunt. That's wholly irresponsible and dangerous, driven by arrogance and ego. Same goes with Kane. He's driven purely by his hubris and disregard for others.

I just feel really bad for Sydor. Yes, what he did is heinous and unforgivable, and he absolutely has to pay his debt to society, but man... He's publicly said he's an alcoholic in the past. You may want to pass it off as "whatever, be stronger, idiot," but it's just not that simple whether or not you're ready to believe that.

Hopefully this is the "rock bottom" he needs to hit in order to wake up and get the help he desperately needs. Alcoholism and drug abuse are horrible, but they don't automatically make the person dealing with them horrible.
