Should be a great finals. I'm rooting against the team/city with a previous 5 Cup dynasty and player that can never be criticized (same reason I hated Crosby, except McDavid isn't also a punk). I like the workaholic style FL plays, and I don't care that they're an Atlantic team. It's not like Buffalo is good enough to be a "rival" with anyone.

New Isles GM getting to work

Geez, what are the Islanders thinking letting the new GM do this already? He hasn’t even completed the first evaluation season of the roster. We all know it takes several hundred games before you can assess a player and begin to think about a contract or trade to shape your roster.


On the finals, easy to root for McDavid to get his cup and to root against the Panthers. But a rematch of last year is a far less interesting possibility than the alternative: the final stop of the Mikko Rantanen 2025 revenge tour, with him defeating Carolina for the cup after Colorado earlier in the playoffs. Oh well. At the very least, it should be fun to watch McDavid. After last year and coming close, I think he finds his highest gear for this series.
