I knew that Philly wasn't as bad as the first game suggested. But the Canes still won despite not playing all that well, especially in OT and with Aho and Svechnikov doing little.

I was rooting for the Ducks but seeing Trouba looking lost on the GWG isn't a bad consolation prize. Lacombe passing when he had an open net reminded me of Kunitz in 2016 against the Sharks but I think we won that game. And apparently the Ducks power play can be stopped when it's not playing the Oilers.

Lmao at Toronto winning the draft lottery…don’t they have to give up either this pick or the next two first round picks lol

A good trade for two teams looking to bolster needs - San Jose and New Jersey: Misa for Nemec. San Jose then takes McKenna or Stenberg to replace Misa.

Minnesota's not that deep up front. They obviously have the two elite wingers (Kaprisov and Boldy), plus a couple of nice complementary pieces in Hartman and Zuccarello. But otherwise their forward group isn't very impressive.

Granted, missing Erickson-Ek up front hurts as does Brodin on the back end. But that forward group doesn't seem deep enough to make any real noise.
