I know. We should've also gotten McDavid. It's not fair.Watching the Leafs game, as a Canadian, how did you get Sid and we got Matthews? It's NOT fair/right.

Yep. It will be #59 now. That's a good number.our 2nd round pick just moved up.![]()
What are they doing with that cap space? There really aren’t better players available than Marner.I’d use the cap space from Marner and Tavares to build around Matthews, Nylander, and Knies. I’d see what the market is for Rielly as well.
i prefer single digits ......................... sometimes.Yep. It will be #59 now. That's a good number.
The funny thing is, the Avalanche have also lost their past 7 Game 7s.How does a team lose SEVEN (7) STRAIGHT winner-take-all games in the postseason?

But they have to have a plan. It can’t be just walking talent out the door to “mix it up”.They don't necessarily have to get a player as good as Marner. What they need to do is change the makeup of the team.
Yeah this isn’t a Neal situation. Sure they miss somebody like prime Kadri, but so does every team. But they have to have a plan. It can’t be just walking talent out the door to “mix it up”.
UFA is garbage now. Teams are holding on to good, young players more than ever. It’s Rantanen all over again.
Should've dumped Kampf, Jarnkrok, whatever else was needed and kept ROR to start with. They don't necessarily have to get a player as good as Marner. What they need to do is change the makeup of the team.
Fair enough, but they have also been past the 2nd round recently. AND, they won a Cup 3 years ago.The funny thing is, the Avalanche have also lost their past 7 Game 7s.
I feel like it’s not brought up enough that they tried to trade him at the TDL hahaEvery insider is talking like he's gone. Friedman even described the Marner situation as "uncomfortable" (or something like that). I can see them re-signing Tavares, even though they shouldn't. But Marner... it's best for both sides to move on.
He flat out doesn’t want to play thereYeah this isn’t a Neal situation. Sure they miss somebody like prime Kadri, but so does every team.
I bet they re sign Marner unless he flat out doesnt want to play there.
My schizo theory is that Toronto was an accidentally ritually cursed during the Toronto “blessing” in 1994, a large manifestation of spiritual delusion. It’s my only way of rationalizing how embarrassingly they lose every time lolHow does a team lose SEVEN (7) STRAIGHT winner-take-all games in the postseason? As much as it sucked to miss the PO's these past 3 seasons, we can at least go back in time and watch 3 Stanley Cup victories in HiDef.
The Leafs haven't even been to the Final since the JOHNSON administration. How do you not luck into at least an appearance in that time?

I’m sure that makes things uncomfortable

The Leafs also have 4 of the top 12 highest paid players in the league. When you've got that many dudes with 8 figure salaries, it's understandable that people expect a lot.Fair enough, but they have also been past the 2nd round recently. AND, they won a Cup 3 years ago.
The Capitals have only been past the 2nd round three times in their EXISTENCE (1990, 1998, 2018), but since they won the Cup, no one brings up their failures as much.
The Leafs haven't been out of the 2nd round since 2002, and haven't even BEEN to the Finals since 1967. That's why their failures are magnified.
