GDT: Around the NHL - Playoff Edition

I think that often times cross bars are hit because the opposing goalie is better, or the team’s shooters aren’t all that accurate…maybe it’s not luck
I just looked. Carolina had the 8th most goals scored in the NHL this year.

And those crossbar hits were not deflections off the goalie. All would have been goals if a fraction of an inch difference.

One other thought making Washington's performance, or really lack of performance and offensive zone time, even worse.

It is at home with last change.

If this is a bad matchup issue, what are they going to do in Carolina?

Washington is going to have to make a serious adjustments to make the zone time less lopsided.

My fear is the adjustment will be Wilson and his clown sidekicks taking the lesson from the Montreal series of going out of his way to injure multiple Canes players. Well, more than he always does.

I’m pretty sick of Vegas already and I want the Jets to win.I think they might match up better against Edmonton.. but I still don’t like Edmonton at all and Evander Kane is in Washington/Philly territory by himself for me.

I am fairly indifferent regarding the Oilers.

People hate them because of all the number one overall draft picks, right? That never turned me off enough to really care all that much about them. McDavid and Draisaitl never seemed to be complete tools. So. Yeah, indifferent for the most part.

They do seem like tools, especially 29.

No I dislike them because they got all that talent and were so painfully inept about it and then they do stuff like bring in Kane and Bowman. Even this year, after getting to the finals, they were so stupid in the offseason still. There’s also the friendly rivalry Pittsburgh has with it in terms of Cups and superstars.

I don't think so. When it comes to this board, it's more about McDavid taking Sid's throne as the best player who gets the most attention. They resent it, and maybe feel it hurts Sid's legacy (it doesn't).
Buffalo got a bunch of 1st OA's too and no one here gave a crap.

I'm grateful we have talent like this to watch on the regular. The league needs it. Sid and Ovi are walking away soon and the next wave have to cut it.

I am not judging. Interesting to hear though.

Except for McJesus and Drai they always seemed very vanilla to me. Kind of like how everyone hated Crosby when he was about as controversial an interview as white bread.

Edmonton's ineptitude despite those two made me even more indifferent. So, it is interesting to hear why people dislike them so much.
