Blames his youth but some of this happened when he was 21. There's plenty to hate with Binnington without the racist overtone, exactly as you say, but I guess he wants to make things easier for everyone. Wish he had gone at it with MAF, Fleury would have mauled him.

Yeah he used being young as an excuse but that’s a massive load of shit. His weird hate for Kadri to me just felt too close to his comments, there’s a clear hate.

I think the concussion came from the Reinhart shot he took right off the face, and the contact with Bennett just kinda exacerbated things.

Bennett not getting a penalty for his is just another really bad look by the league. They suspended Hagel for his hit on Barkov and then decided not to do the same when the Panthers retaliated. It’s like they are not even trying to hide it, like we can see you’re sabotaging the playoffs.

And as others have pointed out, what would you suspend him for? You’d be suspending him more for the outcome rather than the action.

However, the Leafs - with arguably the most vocal fan base in the world - were on the receiving end. Plus, the clip of him at the bench and then the report of him going to the hospital sensationalizes it even more. You even have the Sportsnet panel looking at it like it’s the Zapruder film.

Obviously, any fan base is going to be up in arms when a key player is on the receiving end of a play like that. However, I don’t think it was that bad.

Barkov one should have never been a suspension. When they did that, to calm the waters they needed to suspend for the Jake hit. They didn’t and it turned into a shit show with that roid twat doing a Trouba impersonation.

Which is stupid, sure, but the DoPS has suspended plenty of players more for the outcome than for the actions. Of course, the DoPS probably can't even spell consistency let alone have any in their decisions, so...

That's why it shouldn't be a suspension. The act itself wasn't malicious or egregious. If Stollarz hadn't been hurt, at most you're looking at something that should have been 2-minutes for goalie interference.

The question is whether this is a legit comparison of the teams or merely a slow start on Washington's part.

If it is a fairly accurate showing by both teams then puck luck (how many cross bars so far have the Canes hit? Four or five maybe?) then the Canes will make short work of the Caps.

I think that often times cross bars are hit because the opposing goalie is better, or the team’s shooters aren’t all that accurate…maybe it’s not luck
