No one will ever convince me the double hit on Sid by Niskanen/Ovi in the playoffs wasn’t purposeful.

I don’t think they win the series. Habs are skating circles around them again 5v5 even if they aren’t registering shots. And I know I sound ridiculous because of the shots and because the Habs are scoring their goals on the PP. But watch the play 5v5. Reminds me of us against the Isles in those series’ a handful of years ago.

Their retool was impressive but there's no way this iteration of the caps are winning a cup. No chance. Overall solid, just nothing particularly great about them. And they're slow.

Makes me wonder if a retool is really the way to go to create a true cup contender.

Habs were more of a rebuild, they were god awful for a while. Kings sure, but it remains to be seen if they can actually win. St Louis is the only example of a retool type team winning.

Over the years it's still the teams with the elite cores that win cups.
