I'm not going to pretend that I was some secret genius decrying the terrible position that Granlund was put in, here. I just hated the trade from the get go. But it gets more obvious with hindsight as an assist that maybe possibly there might be a small chance that a guy like Granlund shouldn't have been playing a checking role, here.

I was half joking, and going for an overly dramatic angle last game when I said Tavares missing that wide open net when the Leafs had their goalie pulled and were trying to tie it, cost them the series, but we'll see.

I'm pretty whatever on Florida. Don't care one way or another. But I can't f***ing stand the Leafs, their fanbase, or their sports media. So any scenario where they're bummed as hell is A+ for me.
