Around the NHL - Part XLV (Playoffs edition)

Wonder if Carolina looks to make a couple moves. Maybe move a core player like svechnikov. He had a great relationship with don waddle. Wonder if they feel they need a shake.

I'm not a newbie & I'm aware that they let things go, but at some point it becomes WWF-esque.
So we start playing 3 on 3?

It's the nature of the sport.

Its much more of a gladiator sport than anything else when it comes to the playoffs. That will never change unless it turns into the IIHF world.

Who sucked more vs Panthers, 2023 Rangers or 2024 Canes?

I remember a game in the 80s when the Rangers & Wings played 3 on 3 for the entire 3rd period.

I'm not saying there's an answer or a solution, it just takes away from my enjoyment of the game when the rules go out the window. YMMV...

Just like Bobrovsky’s? Going to his 3rd Final in a row. His contract as a % of team cap is likely higher that Igor’s will be as time moves along.

But, hey, can’t win with a goalie contract like that right?
Of course you can win with a goalie contract like that. You need to put a team around him though and not the garbage we put out there.

This is an interesting point because it seems to make the assumption that after the 45 hour game where everything is called, the players won't start adjusting how they play the game to match the changed criteria of officiating.
For every other sport I'd say that's weird. For hockey, where we still see a tonne of 'puck over glass' penalties 20 years after the the rule was introduced, it does make sense...
