Around the NHL - Part XLV (Playoffs edition)

If Florida keeps playing like this, they're winning the whole thing again. Everyone is on the same page and knows where to be. This is what playing as a team looks like. Bob has been making some big saves when needed as well (hasn't really had to in this game but multiple odd man rushes in previous games).

I like Dallas but Edmonton might be the only team capable of beating Florida because of McDrai.

The feeling of Florida being this good with AJ Greer, 28 years old with 49 career NHL points, and Jonah Gadjovich, 26 years old with 18 NHL points, being regulars. Mikkola, Kulikov, bought out Schmidt. Last year bought out OEL. A good system and total buy-in from the players is probably more valuable than a goalie or a 1D or a 100 point forward. Crazy.

These playoffs have been lackluster. Most excitement for me is that Carlsson and Gauthier are a PPG in the WC. F the NHL playoffs.

I posted this on the main board but whoever is prescouting for the canes should be fired.

Game 1, let's beat the Panthers by trying to be the Panthers. LO f***ing L

Game 2, let's play them the way we play in the reg season. Dummies

The cats plan is to wear you out with a cycle and forecheck, so why in the hell would you play aggressive man to man where to sometimes break for double teams and run around more and more? You're literally playing into the cats hands by also wearing yourself out by running around. Why are teams so set on chasing the puck to the walls and trying to show the cats that they are as tough as them. This is why the cats are so good, they are driving teams to chase them and chase the game. For a grinding team they do an incredible job dictating the game.
