Sorry for my short fuse but it's been happening all over the place on HF. The issue is we have a "No Political discussion" rule, and that tweet is a political statement. There can be no way around a political discussion even if it was aimed at the current NHL series going on now.

As for the rule, I guessed as much about the pol stuff and posted just the ESPN article. That was probably OK, but anyway no biggie.

The rules allow political discourse when it's relevant to the hockey-discussion. Which I would argue that this is, but I'm not a mod so I don't enforce the rules.

I don't know about you guys, but I am rooting for ANYONE in the West. Would absolutely KILL me, If OVIE won another, or the Canes winning because I simply cannot stand anything that team does. Maybe envy has something to do with it. Just look how deft they were with that whole Rantanen scenario.

2-5. Vegas, Dallas, Winnipeg, Carolina - Pretty indifferent, just hope it would be exciting.

6-7. Florida, Washington - f***'s sake (Florida only because of the minority owner).

I feel like politics is everywhere and its really bringing down the world. I'm glad you guys don't have it in the NYR forum.

I come here to take a break because it's unavoidable everywhere else, and I'm thankful it's is fairly low-key here. We are all just fans and mostly get along. No need for it here. I think we all do a pretty good job avoiding it. Politics would 100% make this forum it unreadable.

It's pretty funny that such hateable teams are still in it. I mostly blame their fan base/ social media. Though I do despise a lot of the Canes team, haha

2. Especially f*** Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver

It's nothing against McDavid himself TBH, although I guess I'm in a minority that would see it interesting to go about his entire career without a cup (unless he signs here lol). I just really enjoy the misery of the big Canadian NHL markets, that always provides great entertainment and drama. And them doing good is annoying as hell.
