I would masticate to another Corey Perry Cup elimination. As long as Corey Perry loses in the Finals again, idgaf who wins.

As soon as he said with his whole chest that he's read more about goaltending than anyone who's ever played, I actually replied out loud that he must have been reading the book upside down.I feel like a bad person for this but helly is so f***ing arrogant that it's become entertaining in a twisted way to see him implode so badly. Like when Jack Campbell did this he would beat himself up in the media. Helly just tells everyone he's the best and knows the most about goaltending and he's great, and I know he needs to act confident to be confident and work through this but it's overboard. Guy's a mess.

Hea a head case and I think this whole thing started based on the jets being the best defensive team in the league making his life easy for years during the reg season and once the playoffs start the game starts and the jets can't control chances/tempo/structure as well and it made helly start moving more. This started years ago, and now it's still happening but it's also in his head and it's been in his head for a few years. It's just getting traction now. When there's chaos he can't cope bc he generally doesn't move well. I hate to say this but he's a better version of Stuart Skinner whereas Skinner can't move well and make movement saves well and he plays behind a notably bad defense when it comes to rush chances and side to side offense against, helly just plays in front of a much better and more structured defense that allows less of that during the season. As soon as he said with his whole chest that he's read more about goaltending than anyone who's ever played, I actually replied out loud that he must have been reading the book upside down.
I'm not surprised by his collapse in the least. The Jets need to move on from him.
He's not. This has been looked at. Stars love him and they refused to move him last summer. They aren't moving him now. Multiple teams have tried over the past yearIf Bischel was on the trading block, Drury better pick up the phone. He’s a keeper. Only 20 and will get better. Stars put young players in a position to succeed

Panarin is marner. They are both players that need to hold the puck to make offense but in the playoffs you can't hold the puck as much as the reg season and the lanes don't develop as easily as they do during the reg season. If marner ends up in nyr he will be hated more than Panarin bc his shot isn't as good so he looks more passive, but marner is also usually at least defensively conscious whereas Panarin is not so much. Would be wild to see marner ends up in Utah or something like that we're he can just play and be appreciated without being scrutinized. He's so jaded from playing in TorontoPanarin version of goalies. Great in the regular season and inconsistent and disappears in the playoffs. Soft mentally weak
With you. I want to see Maurice or Brind Amour hockey. Aggressive and conditioning first. What's Sullivan like in terms of defensive schemes?
I get wanting physicality, and to play with pace; but watching these playoffs what stands out to me is how positionally sound most teams are defensively, and how they don't panic and scramble too much when face with extended defensive shifts.
If we can get back to playing some semblance of team defense it should really help things
and he only had 1 assist in the first 4 games.Another point for Rantanen
And with every point those idiots that said "I don't want to trade anything for rantanen when we can just sign him for free in the summer" fade further away.Another point for Rantanen
