Not something I’d wager much on. Islanders being bad means they can make a quick turnaround. Mediocrity is the death of potential. Do I think Isles will do a good build? No. Would I speak these words confidently into the universe knowing the insufferable mediocrity were poised to be enduring short of a miracle? I would not.

I don't gamble or believe in manifestation, so I'm good either way

But yeah, it's always possible to be good enough at the right time to jag one (although difficult), and it is entirely possible that it all lines up for the Islanders before it does for us. I wouldn't be plotting parade routes if i was either team though...

Say what you want about the Canes style of play. It so night and day from how the Rangers play. They skate their asses off, every puck is contested, they all know what to do in the offensive zone, and they make good decisions with the puck for the most part.

I honestly can't say why the Rangers of the past had their number, goaltending i guess. I'm positive if they had made the playoffs and faced the Canes it would have been Canes in 6.

Caps will have to, uh, capitalize whatever chances they get. They're not as polished structurally and they don't play as fast as Carolina. And they need Andersen to do a few Igors.
