Around the NHL - Part XLV (Playoffs edition)

I’d imagine both Igor and Hank lead in GSAx because the Rangers generally have had below average to poor possession, and spend most of the playoff games against good teams giving up high quality chances 20x a game, whereas Vasy and the like probably see the same number of quality chances against over 4-5 games playing behind much better organized systems with more competent players in front of them. Hard to save a lot of goals above average when your team is attacking 60+% of the game. Conversely, hard to win despite having so big a lead in things like GSAx, because to rack up those numbers, your team is near certainly defending 60+% of the game. Just like SV%, more shots, higher save percentage, even with more goals allowed.

Vasi won the Conn Smythe facing like 18 shots per game

But it’s not just cumulative. GSAX/60 makes Igor look even more insane.

Does Winnipeg's board have a Snowblind?

Since I can't repost a poster from a different board, I'll provide a link:

If he (or she) starts throwing the term "softy" around, we know it's a match made in heaven (or hell).
