The Dallas player easily enough could have been called for embellishment . He went down like a tent in a tornado.

Watch the replay just posted and look at Drury’s arms and feet. Then watch him twist under Duchene. That’s called 100% of the time, playoffs or not, despite the bellyaching from the broadcast about “not getting those calls” in the playoffs. That’s as obvious a hold as you could imagine, and Drury’s “are you f—ing serious?!?” reaction to the ref… I’d have called a second on him for being that stupid. Of course, I ref beer league not the NHL and don’t put up with that shit from a player who so obviously earned every bit of that call.

It’d be like throwing a stick at a guy on an empty net breakaway, tripping him, then claiming you “dropped it accidentally” while screaming at the ref making the call. It’s blatantly obvious and HAS to be called there - close playoff game or not. And no shot that’s even close to being called embellishment.

I think Drury had him visually wrapped up but not squeezing him and the Duchense fell backwards on purpose because LOL thanks for the penalty, idiot. Drury's right skate goes sideways for no reason other than he got leaned on.

Also explains why Drury was so mad, not actually pulling him down. But refs don't call penalties, they things that look like penalties....

Its crazy how a guy like Vasilevsky isn’t even in the same realm statistically as Igor in playoffs

I believe there was proven to be a discrepancy in how shot distances are recorded in MSG (closer than anywhere else), which helps Hank and Igor's numbers to some degree.

That said, we've seen them both, and it's no mistake they are where they are on the list.

Right, I always forget about that. But the difference between Hank and Igor is still wild with both getting the MSG bump. A 44 game sample Igor is taking away roughly a goal per game from the opposition and NYR couldn’t even get to the cup final
