Around the NHL - Part XLV (Playoffs edition)

Watching this series just made me hate our top players so much more, and I already hated them a lot
Except Fox! He was a bit vindicated by Makar pulling his pants down and taking a shit at center ice.

Also Kreider literally did what Rantanen did but with all three against a goalie. That's worth mentioning. Kreider being a de facto "top player" at all is the problem in that case.

I'm tired of Zibanejad and Panairn.

With Kreider it’s just time to go. 13 years, all good things must come to an end. You’re right that he was miscast as a go to guy.

Zibanejad at least put up a bunch of points in the 2022 playoffs.

Rantanen bascially matched Panarin’s best single playoff output in this series alone.

As a Rangers fan living in Dallas - can we PLEASE now stop hearing about how Makar is Bobby Orr reincarnated? “Greatest defenseman in a generation” don’t shit themselves against half a playoff team. (Yes I know the Stars have a few good players, but no Robertson or Miro and Makar played worse than my D-League team on defense the last few games).

I mean when you really look at it...eh? :dunno:

The top talent is there, especially that big one in the middle, but they have a few holes.

They have no real bad players here, which you know I like, so they could win, it's in the realm of possibility, but they're not unbeatable.

They lost a tough series in 7 to a good team. Every playoff series hinges on a few bad plays, bad calls, or unlucky breaks. It's hard to crap on any team that lost in the first round to a team they legitimately should've been playing in the conference finals.
