Around the NHL - Part XLV (Playoffs edition)

Mike's crazy afternoon idea is that there should be no 'period' breaks in OT. A hockey game is 3xperiods+OT, not +multiple OTs.
A single OT just goes until someone scores or everyone is dead from exhaustion...
How are they even going this fast with almost 4 full periods of play?

that was the best hockey I’ve ever seen from a team in a playoff OT. Came out and dominated for 10 min and forced the refs to call one

I wish the Rangers re-signed Mikkola

If "Brett Howden, Stanley Cup champion" didn't already sound strange on the ears, if the Caps win this year, we'll have to hear "Dylan McIlrath, Stanley Cup champion"
He's been on the ice for warmups. If he manages to actually suit up, he'll even get his name etched on the cup.

That takes and gives Playoffs commercial is really lame. I get that they’re trying to communicate intensity and leaving it all on the ice, but it just feels forced / generated by GPT.

I don’t think anything will surpass “there are no words.” Frankly, I’d be ok with them airing that every year.

The Caps are going to get pummeled by Carolina. They are smoke and mirrors.
