In all fairness, the Habs are how many years younger than we are? Team was rebuilding — still is — and doing it damn well.

Which is what makes wasting time hating him so pointless. The guy has been around forever at this point. The league isn’t banning him for being “a jerk”. He occasionally gets suspended and he’s unlikable. He’s also effective at actually playing hockey and producing, while at the same time, can turn entire games around with how he plays (clean or not) and, rumor has it… even trigger entire rebuilds. Hate him til you turn blue. The Rangers would have benefitted mightily from having him these past 10 years. We haven’t had anyone like him. Avery, or any other pest we had, wasn’t 1/5th the actual player he is. So hate him. That’s his literal job.
