Around the NHL - Part XLV (Playoffs edition)

One guy who is not shedding the Panarin label (or what ever the goalie equivalent is)? Hellebuyck.

Winnipeg probably has enough juice to get through this series (though it wont be easy, the Western Conference WC teams are pretty good in comparison to the teams out east) but they're toast in a round if they do get through.

for all the oos and aahs Winnipeg gets their 2C is freakin Vlad Namestnikov. And Scheifele is good but hes not exactly Barkov or Matthews or Eichel level.

Why hasn't Brady used his leadership to will his team to not get swept by the team that notoriously flames out in the first round? Is he planning the reverse sweep to help his team maximize playoff revenue?

When was the last video interview of Drury, hiring Laviolette? This guy hides more than a person running from the cops. He does not face the media much. No wonder why Panarin can get away with it just as much as him. NO ACCOUNTABILITY.
He just signed a new deal with full backing of his owner. He obviously feels empowered enough to the point where he doesn't give a shit. Dolan doesn't seem to mind, so this is what we can expect moving forward. Not saying I agree, but this is the way this team operates.

I don't get the Brady hate in this thread. It's not like he hasn't shown up and played well.

Hockey is never about one guy, nor should his teams' performance change the fact that the Rangers would be extremely fortunate to have a player like him.

Why hasn’t McDavid willed his team to not be down 2-0? Why hasn’t Mackinnon/Makar willed their teams to be up in their series? The world may never know, but that Brady guy with a lot worse of a team around him definitely sucks.

He has 1/3 of his teams goals and is the only forward with a plus rating on his team.

I'm just glad people are catching on that drafting and developing players has nothing to do with success and the only thing that matters is how much we like our General Manager.

A first round sweep. Same critique was levied at Rick Nash in columbus

Where were Straka and Nylander in the 06 playoffs? f***ing bums

In bed with flu. Gonna be rooting for LAK to go 3 and 0 over EDM today. Not because I’m partial to the Kings but because I’m a grumpy old bastard who hates the Oilers.

100 percent I don't see it with the Jets but honestly watching the West it looks wide open when many thought the East would be a bit more wide open (some started to doubt the Panthers when it sure looks they are still the team to beat in the east). I know its only 3 games but has any team really been that impressive in the west? Vegas and the Avs should be but they better wake up soon.

I thought Florida and Vegas would play like they are capable in the playoffs but the latter has me a bit worried.
