The beauty of having a strong team culture that you can easily see how a player will or won't fit into.

A guy like Stankoven is more valuable to Carolina than most other teams, and they can do what they did with Rantanen, secure in the knowledge that he wasn't a fit for the way they want to play.

If we had traded for Rantanen, nobody on the team or in Mikko's camp would have had a clue whether he fit in here or not. Carolina has got one of the strongest identities in the league.
