Around the NHL - Part XLV (Playoffs edition)

The reason Igor is paid more than Helly is because he’s much better and Helly can’t stop a beach ball in the playoffs

Not looking forward to Helly being USA goalie in the Olympics next year. Rather see Oettinger and not just because he wears a Statue of Liberty mask.

Is there another goalie with as much regular season/playoff disparity as Hellebuyck?

He's gonna sleep walk into this 3rd Vezina this year yet he's absolutely addicted to giving up 5 goals a game in the playoffs. Its unreal.

When you say his name, that's what it sounds like! It comes from:

"J'accuse!" ("I accuse!") comes from an open letter written by Émile Zola, a famous French novelist, in 1898. He published it on the front page of the newspaper L'Aurore.

The letter was addressed to the President of France and defended Alfred Dreyfus, a Jewish French army officer who had been wrongly convicted of treason. Zola accused the government, military, and judiciary of corruption and antisemitism in how they handled the case. The letter was so bold and direct that it caused a huge political scandal — known today as the Dreyfus Affair.

Zola’s "J'accuse!" is remembered as one of the most powerful examples of speaking truth to power.
