Amazing every time Kakko touches the puck a teammate buries it
When he was here every time he passed a puck someone was robbed
Kakko was no means a great player for NYR, but I've probably never seen any player as unlucky as him getting points. It was unbelievable to watch.

There was a game against the Kings where he was all over the ice and the puck would just make these weird little deflections or someone would come from out of nowhere and dive in front of the net to block a wide open net. It was the most insane unluckiness I’ve ever seen:

I enjoyed this article: Ovechkin Stick Collection

Anyone into autographs / collectibles may enjoy it also. It's nifty to see that some athletes enjoy collecting as much as us some fans do.

I used to have a ton of autographs. I'm more minimal as I've aged and gotten rid of a lot of it. But I still have a good chunk of signed original art I did (Gretzky and Mantle below, Bossy, Howe, Dionne, Trottier, etc) ...

Kakko needs to pot some. He can't go on just making apples.
Its been kind of a mixed bag for KK since trade. Positive is his assists/points are up playing big minutes on top line and PP1. Negative is plus/minus is way down and goal scoring hasn't really improved at all if you don't include the empty net goal. On pace for 13 goal season at this date in time.

I always look at the first 30-40 games after a trade with a grain of salt especially if playing for a new contract. I think next season will probably give a better picture whether that is good or bad.

People have been saying he's been so much better and yet his 5v5 scoring rate is actually lower with Seattle this year than it was with the Rangers. Just way more minutes and PP time.

His two assists last night were very pedestrian. It's not like he made some superstar level passes... just normal movement and his teammates scored.

Glad we continue the Kakko nonsense takes after he's gone.
Rangers Kakko: He doesn't get enough points. Even though he doesn't get minutes, it's his fault. Perform.
Kraken Kakko: Well he gets points, but who cares about points? His minutes are up. Of course he has more points. Plus his points are boring points. He's not getting no look assist points. Those points are real points.

What are we doing here?

At least he wont have to worry about being scratched in the playoffs this year

If you look at his 2 assists last night and think:

"Wow, we shouldn't have traded that guy!"

Then I'm not sure what to tell you. I'm still fine with letting him go. He's not a play driver and Seattle wont go far with him on the top line.

I mean, who cares? He made great passes here that didn't result in goals. If he's getting pedestrian passes that lead to goals, good for him. He was the most snakebitten player here ever. Glad it's evening out for him.

I do not know if you were speaking about my post. I tried to be fair looking at both the good and not so good.

Credit to the guy for the transparency but how do you stay sane being followed by a camera crew while rehabbing a career threatening injury? Id be like Alec Baldwin when he sees the paparazzi after a week.
Must be very mentally strong to still be trying to come back after 3 years. I think he has a lot of people rooting for him.

“For the longest time I said, ‘I’d rather have a Stanley Cup ring and a f—-ed up knee than a healthy knee and no Stanley Cup ring.’ And I meant that,” he said. “I still wouldn’t change the fact that I did what I did for us to reach the ultimate goal in hockey. But I would like to have both if I can.”
