The illusion of being awesome In a game where no one plays defense is fascinating to me.

Because the rangers would rightfully get slaughtered here for that (rightfully.)

PS: blackhawks are slower than the Rangers are.

Positive thing about the Rangers is that they've given up next to nothing offensively the last 2 games to guys who weren't Pastrnak and Eichel.

Both would have been very comfortable wins with a competent body in place of #55. They probably win the Sat game vs Boston too.

I'm relatively unbothered by what they gave up yesterday too. Those goals were voodoo+an assist from #55 on a world class screen.

How do the Blackhawks look so much better than the Rangers and Bruins tonight?

I thought the Rangers looked pretty damn good last game, particularly in their own end. There will always be def zone breakdowns and blown coverages. The other team is, after all, putting all their effort into trying to cross you up, gain separation, and create and exploit openings. But the Rangers played the puck holders well and their coverage of players away from the puck was damn good. And to my eyes at least appeared to out-hit Boston and cause more turnovers.

I watched that game at 4 am and was kinda brain dead. But to me, it appeared the Rangers did not give away a whole lot and I thought played a very good game.

I'm sure Chicago is fun to watch on some level. They don't have shit to play for, so they won't have to D up all too much and can go guns blazing on offense. Player stats usually look about the same for most cellar teams: guys with inflated point totals and +/- ratings ranging from even to shit show.

I'd rather look "boring" and responsible than "exciting" and losing.

The Rangers looked great in their own end but the game was just painful to watch.

Caps have low key been pretty ass since 2025 started despite their record.

Major 2023 Bruins vibes emanating from that team. They’d thump the Devils because someone would break Hughes and that’d be the end of it but they’re not that good.
