Personally, I hate the team right now as it looks like we’re chasing down a first round ass kicking.

I like Kak more than that. Yes. The team, retooled, f*ck no.

The Capitals had a first round ass kicking last year. Also, why is it some guarantee that if you're an 8 seed you're going to get your ass kicked? The Panthers made it to the SCF. And they had a similar trajectory to us.

Debbies slumping hard

if the Rangers pull a Panthers i'll give you 1000 dollars

It's highly unlikely that they do. But both teams are having a down year after a PT year. Both teams were better than their record. But as usual on this board the Rangers are garbage and any time they have success it's seen as a fluke. PP and goalie! And then people have the f***ing gall to say I'm negative when all anyone does win or lose is say how bad they are. Despite making the playoffs in the last 20 years and making the ECF in the last 20 years more than most teams. But yeah they are a horrible franchise that people can't wait to destroy. We went through a PT winning season and ECF last year and this board was miserable every f***ing step of the way. But I God forbid don't like my goalie giving up backbreaking goals and I'm the angriest and most negative person on this board.

because they played garbage hockey, whats so hard to understand? I don't get why you're so jazzed now that they've "tightened up defensively" because Laviosaurus Rex realized he can't get the team to play the sport properly so he decided to get even more conservative and not even attempt to create offense and just hope to squeak a lucky one in via your 4th line center making minimum wage . Its abysmal to watch and is not conducive to winning a cup.

I was at the game last night and the vibes and energy in the building were dire, more people were watching NFL playoffs on their phones than the game, you could hear a pin drop. Its disgusting to watch.

And they're winning. They're a boring low event team. No one said otherwise but they've been winning. Until recently everyone was complaining about the defense. That improves by leaps and bounds and that's still not good enough. Last year was also not good enough. All we heard was goaltending and the PP. Literally nothing is ever f***ing good enough. They can go 98-0 and fans will still complain.

The Islanders had two ECF appearances in a row and were a goal away from likely winning the cup (technically two I guess they'd still need to win in OT) in 2021 by playing boring low even hockey. I find this style of hockey boring and I said the same when it was the Islanders. But it's been working for them.

I agree that with the right moves we can turn this shit, I mean ship around for sure.

This year ain’t it and we’re past the point with the current core. We all thought we knew it was coming next year but it is blatantly clear we’re getting bounced early this year if we even squeeze into the playoffs. Fresh coaching staff, some high picks and new young faces on the team next year combined with Shesty should be a great gosh darn hockey team.

Rangers have been one of the better teams in the league (by every measure) since Christmas while playing a legitimately difficult schedule with a wolf shit 1LD (who after a bit of stablization has started to revert back to sucking giant balls again.)

I think it's too little too late because they're going to hit a 3-4-5 game slide at some point and they booted too many gimmies earlier in the year but they've legitimately been playing pretty well for almost a month now, who really cares how it looks?

Think Islander fans were bitching about how boring they were under Trotz? Maybe they were, but I bet you they're f***ing dying for that brand of boring again.

I think we're almost in universal agreement that they need to make some changes to the roster if they want to actually contend. Those changes aren't happening now. That doesn't mean that they should stop themselves from making long term moves. The Kreider/Zibanejad deals -those are summer deals if they're going to happen at all.

Discussing it is fine but seems like a lot of people are bigger Kakko fans than Rangers fans.
Hmmm... should I support a kid who sacrificed his childhood and teen years in pursuit of a dream that only might come true, or a corporate entity run by a pile of cocaine in a suit that did zero work to acquire said corporate entity as it was given to him by his daddy? Tough choice.

Buying a Seattle Kak jersey just to post here every time he scores.

Then why are you a Rangers fan? What a ridiculous f***ing post.

Because hockey entertains me, and my parents f***ed in Brooklyn and not in Boston, Montreal, Chicago, Toronto or Detroit?

Sorry - but I don't owe blind allegiance to anyone or anything.

You basically admitted to having no loyalty to the team because you don't like Dolan. So what makes you a Rangers fan? Dolan will continue being the owner. If you don't like the team because of the owner who will continue being the owner then you're not a fan. BTW, the next owner will also be a billionaire as is every owner. Might as well give up on sports.

LOL, if you don't like the word loyalty then support. You admitted you don't support the team because the owner inhereted his wealth, what makes you a Rangers fan?
I already told you. If my parents f***ed in Cambridge, Mass, I'd probably be having a similar discussion with a Bruins fan. If my grandparents never came to the US, I probably wouldn't give a flying f*** about the NHL because I'd be too busy watching futbol. You follow the team your way and I'll follow it my way.

Ok, you don't support the team. You're not a fan. You didn't say you don't support this trade. You said you don't support the team because Dolan is a trust fund baby. That's not a fan.

I had a discussion here with a couple people like three weeks ago where I basically said we were done (we were like 4 points out at the time). I'm really surprised at how they've rebounded. It's not going to get them anywhere but I will say, I am glad that the guys who are left seem to be showing some fight. It looked like they had quit, but maybe not.
