Didn’t read the article, but all I know is that Gavrikov is a career-long possession black hole. Zac Jones instead please.

And kudos to whoever posted the video of Kings D-man Brandt Clarke’s nice assist. That’s three tonight for the 21-year-old, putting him in third place for assists in the league.

Except, of course, for the fact that Gavrikov has had elite possession numbers ever since he joined LA.

And that Jones has had bad ones his whole (short) career. He's just a good skater who can make a good pass. That doesn't mean he's actually good.

48.5% is “elite” ?

Notice how they're not giving up an infinite amount of shots despite being the worst defense in the NHL?

I suppose that depends. If he has a 48.5% shooting percentage that would be pretty elite. If he has a 48.5% faceoff percentage that would be pretty bad.
My bad. Thought I had data tab defaulted to 5-5, but that 48.5% is actually all situations.

He is indeed elite, at 54-ish % when 5 on 5. Was thinking it was credit to Matt Roy as a partner, but he’s doing just as well this season with Mikey freakin Anderson. I stand corrected.

As for Zac, I just want him to get the time Lindgren is getting. As a trial. #55’s stats are in serious decline since 2022-2023.

You find a way to score and beat the Ducks and avoid humiliation as Crosby and the Pens did tonight. Except for the Islanders.

Brooks does a pretty good job of calling out the Rongos today, or at least their defense. The article features a picture of Miller sprawled out on the ice as the Caps player is scoring. A picture worth a thousand words and all that.

A fired head coach gets paid by the team they were fired from for the duration of their contract until they get hired by a new team. At which point, the team that fired them stops paying them and the new team begins paying them.
Unlike players who get paid by both lol not fair ... well unless contract was terminated that is. How is it in other team sports?
