Well, we're not trading DZ with Mac concussed.

And I would've probably considered a third for Gagne, but he is the kind of guy who isn't worth much when he isn't scoring. He hasn't been a goal threat in a long time, had a Frolov dropoff.

Between now and trade deadline day, if McDonagh comes back...

Sorry Detroit, I'm going to have to overrule. They're going to have to go back in the "Mid-west" Division with Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, St. Louis, Winnipeg, Minnesota and Colorado. It will be more travel, but Ken Holland said the primary reason they wanted to be in the East is because their fans have to watch so many games on Pacific time's watch.

Six of the other teams in the division are 1 hour behind Detroit. That means most road games would start at 6:00. They can deal. Colorado is 2 hours behind. 5:00.

15 teams in each conference. Do it.

(Man is Detroit going to be pissed at me...)

I hate the new realignment proposal for this reason= 30 division games? Really? So 4 games a year (most years) against the Flyers, Devs, and Isles. Same amount of games with Carolina as with Philly? Screw this. I love the current setup because it emphasizes both divisional and conference rivalries. I don't care about seeing Colorado every year!

Get Columbus back out west and maybe I can deal with 5 games a year against PHI, CAR, WAS, PIT, NYI, and NJD. That makes some more sense to me.

Where does it say 30? My understanding was that it would be 2 games against each non-divisional team, and the rest inside the division.

good move by montreal to get rid of that contract, and take on an upcoming fa, both players could benefit from a change of scenery, dallas also not exacly being in a position to worry about the cap

seeing the third being included makes me second guess why dallas made the move, wasn't cole a healthy scratch a few times this year?

Good move for MTL. I wanted Ryder for scoring depth. 35 goals last year but is usually good for around 20. Would've been nice to have

Would you trade Boyle for Simmonds ?

That is like asking the following:

Be nice if we saw this Holtby. Guy plays like Roy against us.

Don't feel bad we make him look like Roy too. I guess this means the Caps are pretty much back to sucking again. A couple of wins against a sleepwalking Devils, and other trash in their division now they're back to being a joke again.
