Okay, we got at least 3 game sixes, finally some juice in this round tonight.
True but would have preferred to switch the two that didn't make it to game 6 with the ones that did.Okay, we got at least 3 game sixes, finally some juice in this round tonight.
That 'Cry" shirt is very appropriate for the Canes.
This kind of stuff I could do without from teams' social media. There's being funny and there's being a douchebag for sport.
Edmonton is fraudulent until further noticeWhoever wins this series is going to get smoked by the Oilers.
The Hurricanes account is particularly obnoxious.I am fine with reviewing penalties. IF something

These guys are hams.
I assume that's the point.Borrelli shows up every year so he can watch them lose a first round series, so he can react like its the Cup final, then say nothing about the Islanders again until next playoffs. The restaurant must make a killing though.
Byron Bader with a PhD in Hockey Knowledge dropping this insightful gem. Pretty sure every single Islander fan has been saying that for 2 years lol
So has the rest of Hockey PhD twitter.
When Kyle MacLean is the one "young" prospect you have who looks even remotely useful at this level, you're in trouble.
Going to be a long, painful road for that team. No farm and so many bad contracts with term. Ripping it down is going to be tough because no one is going to want those contracts with out assets attached to them and they don't have the assets to do it/need the assets for the future.
Steve Valliquitte from yesterday afternoon:
Tbh, that is part of the reason I was rooting for them against the Canes. Not just because I know we would crush them in a Washington-esque fashion, but because it would give Lou the illusion that the Islanders are good and it would further push them into a long term misery. So has the rest of Hockey PhD twitter.

I'd take the existing player off an ELC over a mid 1st in a mediocre draft basically always. So many of their moves made no sense then or now. Remember they traded the 13th overall pick for Alex Romanov?
