What This Means for You:
Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.
In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Servercan you think of anything besides structure that NYR has that SEA doesn't that might affect +/- directly?Well Borgen going from a minus 13 to a plus 6 kind of points in to the direction that this "train wreck" (NYR) may actually have more structure.
can you think of anything besides structure that NYR has that SEA doesn't that might affect +/- directly?
With the 2 games in hand, and arguably way easier schedules that everyone else has the chances are very slim. Ottawa and Montreal prob have it locked down. If anything I could see the devils slipping into the final widlcard spot. Would be awesome if we could knock em out for the final spot. These results today are going to move our playoff odds from 25% back up to around 50% again. I don’t know if any team has ever been gifted a playoff spot as much as the hockey gods are trying to gift one to this year’s Rangers. Might make it in with like 89 points at this rate.

Only way Devils fall into a Wild Card spot is if the Rangers or Islanders catch them in the Metro. Even if OTT or MTL have more points than the Devils, they are both in the Atlantic Division. With the 2 games in hand, and arguably way easier schedules that everyone else has the chances are very slim. Sounds like KK fits like a gloveHis line gives up chances at a higher rate than Seattle's other top 9 lines.
If you really want to break it down, they've been over performing their offense by as much as their goaltending has let them down. They're a rare case where the expected numbers for an against are dead even and their actual numbers for and against are... dead even.
All in all, it's a pretty mediocre ass line.

So Howden leaves the Rangers and becomes a physical spark for the Golden Knights and 20 gpal scorer
I root for almost all ex Rangers. With that said I do wonder is Brett the guy that scored 15 goals in the first 3 months or the guy that scored 4 goals in the next 3 months? Either way he has become a solid player and deserves credit. The relentless mean girls act that went on this board against him for literal years at a time the team had down a tear down rebuild tells you all you need to know about peoples appetites for actual rebuilds and patience. They're full of it.
He's still a below average player on a pretty big heater. Glad things have worked out for him.
Honestly, I think the 'mean girls' act had more to do with the fact that he was part of what most people saw as an egregiously bad return for Ryan McDonagh and JT Miller - not Howden's fault obviously, but it's the same mindset that makes people crucify players that are clearly overpaid - even when that overpaid player doesn't actually 'suck'.The relentless mean girls act that went on this board against him for literal years at a time the team had down a tear down rebuild tells you all you need to know about peoples appetites for actual rebuilds and patience. Namestnikov actually did well after he left the Rangers. Jets love him. He just didn't it well here at all. It's a shame that Rangers tend to acquire players that don't fit well here system wise or other reasons, Adam Hall for Dom Moore. Another awful trade. Another player in Hall thst didnt fit but did elsewhere. See a trend. Imagine if they were better at scouting at the NHL level. Nemeth overpaid, didn't fit here and was dealt. Ryan Graves never got a sniff here but made an NHL career elsewhere. Libor Hajek, was a major piece in that McDonagh trade and wasnt anything more than a 8th 9th 10th dman. Scouting is a huge issue in this organization. This organization won't win unless they fix that huge issue.Honestly, I think the 'mean girls' act had more to do with the fact that he was part of what most people saw as an egregiously bad return for Ryan McDonagh and JT Miller - not Howden's fault obviously, but it's the same mindset that makes people crucify players that are clearly overpaid - even when that overpaid player doesn't actually 'suck'.
So, I don't know that it's so much about impatience as it is about "I can't stand you because you're one of the pieces of shit we got in return for our #1D still in his prime and a young cost-controlled center who hasn't even come close to his ceiling yet.'. IIRC, Namestnikov and Hajek also got a pretty healthy dose of hatred.
Nah, the anger was he got more burn while sucking while Lias Andersson and Chytil didn't and then got more ice/occasional PP than Kakko in some games. All of them were bad at the time. It was a favoritism thing he had no say in.Honestly, I think the 'mean girls' act had more to do with the fact that he was part of what most people saw as an egregiously bad return for Ryan McDonagh and JT Miller - not Howden's fault obviously, but it's the same mindset that makes people crucify players that are clearly overpaid - even when that overpaid player doesn't actually 'suck'.

I understand your point but some of these guys are supporting type guys that often bounce around the league. Take Namestnikov. Didn't he bounce around on 4-6 teams after he left us?Namestnikov actually did well after he left the Rangers. Jets love him. He just didn't it well here at all. But he played well for Tampa and fit there. Don’t get why Rangers thought he would be an upgrade over JT Miller,I understand your point but some of these guys are supporting type guys that often bounce around the league. Take Namestnikov. Didn't he bounce around on 4-6 teams after he left us?
Like many people I never understood that trade. I can only think Gorton really wanted to get rid of our guys and maybe looked at JT as immature back then. But he played well for Tampa and fit there. Don’t get why Rangers thought he would be an upgrade over JT Miller,
When the board crashed for a couple days, all the threads for basically a year were wiped. So this one was just bumped up. They did eventually restore the old threads and the most recent version of this one is sitting on page 2, but it looks like it will fade away for good.Anyone notice that the title of this thread is from last year? Assume its a result in breaking in a new hamster reel....
The other half knows they won't make it.Isles fighting for a playoff spot and UBS is half empty..
