The Sharks roster is abysmal. It’s the most flagrant case of tanking I’ve probably ever seen. That said, the Canucks are a bit scary. They’ve got some dead weight in Myers, Beauvilier and Garland (mostly just the contract with those two, and them being kind of redundant on the same team). The Hughes kids are going off this year. Glad I grabbed Pettersson in fantasy as well.

Admittedly they were on the second half of back to backs with their backup goalie but the fact that Rangers fans were so appalled by our win against them is why this board drives me crazy sometimes.

The scary thing for Grier, is he has already traded his big pieces in EK and Timo. Is 36 year old Vlasic getting a big return at 7 a year, with 2 more years after this year? Same with Couture at 34 years old, with 3 more years after this year at 8 million a year?

Can't imagine they are trading Hertl already, Duclair and Labanc maybe return mid-round picks with retention at the deadline.

No one is taking the corpse of Hoffman or Granlund.

Edit: They also only have 1 retention spot left after retaining on Burns and EK.

Sharks would have to pay a team to take Vlasic. He'd return zilch. If they offered their 2nd this year (probably 33rd overall) with Vlasic that might not even be enough to take that contract.

Easier to keep him just to hit the cap floor.

It's wild that Dubass took over the Penguins and instead of addressing their goaltending and secondary scoring needs he trades for Erik Karlsson. Now they are the same crappy aging team, with 2 Kris Letang's. What a shame!
Chayka/Dubas "genius" gm's
