Unlike the vast majority here, I like the Bruins. But, this Blues team has captured my interest, so yeah cheering for them Blues.
 
They haven't won it in 49 years, touch the f***ing thing!

Dumbest tradition is sports. If I were the winning captain, I would pump that shit up and down like the Premier League trophy.

it really is the dumbest thing...you worked so hard to get it. no one touches and 1 of the 2 teams still loses so 50/50 which are the same as your odds if you don't care about the superstition...

someone mentioned it recently, i don't remember the player, but he said something along the lines of he didn't grow a playoff beard cause 16 teams do it and 15 teams lose lol

Hockey players exemplify the tradition of superstition in sports. Being contrarian, I would touch the damned trophy and then get pummeled half-senseless soon after by my teammates for my mockery.

Well I really hope the story line is going to be about how Sammy Blais toasts the Bruins and how the Blues acquired that draft pick in exchange for a lil ol' player named Wade Redden. May his curse keep going!

Just realized long time Blues captain Backes is on the Bruins. Gonna be some mixed emotions there.

yep i still remember the game against ottawa, last game for the 2006 olympics we were in 1st place and put on an actual clinic in a 4-1 win...sweet caroline played and they had a faceoff so the music stopped and the crowd at msg sang the rest of the song. we made it all over the highlights in canada...sadly that was literally the peak of our season. jagr got hurt during the olympics and then it all went to poo after that

Yeah, but I still love that season.

Turned our organization around for the better and was the first trip to the playoffs that I was really old enough to appreciate.
