Jesus Christ refs, first you miss the high stick then you call it late.
The incompetence is truly ridiculous. And apologists say "it's a tough jobbbbb".
But then the league has to find a better way. Random and game-situation-dictated penalties is not the way forward.
Ive said it before and I'll say it again, get the refs above the ice and give them each a zone of responsibility to monitor. If nothing else there will be some consistency. What we have now is not working.

It's not worth eliminating the fun when refs gett upended or run into by players

This question probably has been answered but I'm too lazy to look back a prior threads. Why are the Isles playing in Brooklyn? Seems like they were really rolling at the Coliseum.
 
This VW ad is freaking grating on my nerves, as does the Lexus racetrack one. Must be from the same ad agency

I may be completely misremembering this, but I’m pretty sure the presence of blood allows the linesman to say to the ref “I saw it, it was a penalty.” Without blood, the linesman isn’t allowed to inform the ref it should be a call.
