Well, I guess if Washington and Toronto are going to stay at 80 points, it doesn't matter too much what the BJs do, short of not falling to 8th and getting Boston.

TB is in Buffalo tonight. Buffalo would need to offer $6.5M per to match $6M from TB. Callahan wanted $6.5M from the Rangers. $6M in Florida is the same money. Buffalo could front load the contract but will they really do that considering that's a major rebuild?

Don't they also pay a portion of their taxes in the other cities they play in?

So 41 games worth will be in Tampa, while the other 41 he'd be paying taxes (well not 41, since he'll be playing the panthers as well).

Not too worried about it. The Rangers weren't going to win 13 to finish the season, regardless of being favorites in every game. I read nothing into the loss at Calgary and expect them to coast into the 2nd or 3rd spot in the Metro

There's a real reason why Carolina loses as much as they do. Can't hold a lead and play the right way. There's a real lack of focus and leadership.
 
Did you just see that stat? The Leafs have outshot their opponents all of 15 times this year?! 15 for to 58 against! That's unbelievable with the talent they have.
 
oh how i wish those stupid bs rumors about patches being available were true...2 more goals tonight 35 on the season.
 
the leafs just might actually break the longest drought without a stanley cup held by the rangers. i think it's been 45 seasons now looking like going on 46.
 
Any reason the Canes were wearing white at home tonight? I still advocate that decision being decided on a team-by-team basis.
