I doubt Babcock gets fired but he has to be on the hot seat
There's already the smoke out there that he and Dubas are at odds when it comes to roster construction. Factor in Sheldon Keefe sitting in the AHL with another successful year and his recently signed extension...

Patrick Marleau JG gm of the year not signing him. I think we all saw that bad signing coming from a mile away

They should probably fire him tbh...maybe that’s what Buffalo is waiting for.

Dubas is probably going to need to get Shanahan to sign off on that one

man what happned to Mitch Marner? I'm sure the Bruins game planned for him better after he destroyed them in game 1 but still. I still think he is the most dangerous leaf but surprised he's done nothing offensively.

Refs putting away their whistles has really been detrimental to the smaller skilled forwards this year

I bet if Lou Lams had still been in Toronto the Nylander signing scenario would have turned out different, but then lots of other things probably would have turned out differently along with that. It was not the right role for Lamoriello.

I’d like to point out that @RangerBoy was completely right here. Leafs added Tavares and ended up in the exact same place they were last year - eliminated in 7 games by the Bruins. It’s too bad they didn’t invest their money and/or assets where they were needed most.

Ironic that Tor signed JT to go deep, even to win it all, and the Isles have outlasted them in the playoffs.

They're going through what we went through against the Caps late 2000s and early 2010s. They'll be ready for the conference finals next year, go out in the first round the year after, fall short in the cup finals, and 2 more seasons of playoff hockey, struggle for a year in the regular season and start trading away their top players and start a rebuild in 2026.

The dynasty will have to wait another year I guess.
Easiest prediction ever made before season was that the Leafs would not get past either the Lightning or Bruins in the first round
