Sorry, but when you watch these other games, the Pens just don’t have the creativity or guile or moxie or intensity of these other teams....no matter what happens in the Isles series, Pens are doing shit this year...Pens just seem so overcoached
Didn't seem to be a problem when we outscored both of those teams this year. Isn't this sport about scoring more goals than your opponent?

Boy, Kucherov looked really rusty there lol

Watching Kucherov, Stamkos and Hedman move the puck around on the PP and then watching the Pens do ... whatever it is they do, it's quite frustrating.

Is it me, or does it not seem like Hedman does a better job of putting those one-timers in the wheelhouse of Kucherov/Stamkos than Letang does when he tries to feather a pass across for a one-timer?

Hedman is amazing and Kuch has a great, deceptive shot...

Didn't really see a offensive flair/intensity problem today? Maybe the most high danger chances we've created against the Isles in the 9 tries this season? Aren't they supposed to be a defensive fortress style team?

Still scored 3 goals in the loss. Unlucky not to get more.

it’s not “unlucky” when the players, and different players at that, can’t finish year and year...we’ve had the same problem not finishing in the POs since 2019

Also, their PP is a perfect example of what our PP lacks. They're such a threat because they're literally a threat to score a one-timer almost every opportunity. We don't have threats on the dots like they do. We almost have to move the puck around and hope for either a tap in, rebound/deflection, or the PK to break down so we have a wide open shot in the slot. We can't do what they do with 2 quick passes around the umbrella and finish it off with a blistering one-timer.

Stamkos and Kucherov are better shooters than Malkin and Sid.

Not to mention they just shoot. They don't trying to make five ridiculous passes to get the perfect tip on net.

3 goals is totally acceptable for a playoff game. Allowing 4 to an anemic Islanders side is not. That's why we lost.

We shouldn't be aiming to win games 5-4 at this stage, and giving them as many grade A looks as we did.

I don't think offense is going to be our problem this year, if we get eliminated. If the Islanders can't shut us down then why will other teams be able to?

Faust and Boucher have said close to 10,000 words explaining how the Lightning manipulated the cap.

@Empoleon8771 If only we had Vasi or Bob.

I'm so conflicted with this series. On one hand, I love chaos and fans being mad, so that makes me want to cheer for the Lightning. But on the other hand, this Panthers team is so fun to watch.

Sucks that these guys had to play in round 1, these two are the most fun teams I've seen in the playoffs so far.

They're also positioned to shoot better on the PP. They have the correct handedness relative to their wings, and their PP is designed to have them shoot.

Malkin would have an easier time scoring from the right wall most likely. It's closer to the net and the goalie's forced to move more laterally to stop you.
