I don't know where they are getting the assets for this fire sale? haha, Zajac is garbage, Henrique is O-K I guess, but he's jesus christ to that team so he's obvi untouchable. Clowe lol, Volchenkov is garbage, Elias is done next year, Ryder won't fetch more than a 2nd round pick, Salvador is garbage, Andy Greene is meh, not bad but not spectacular, Larsson could fetch a good return, but again, supposedly their savior, Brunner is okay, but again, late 1st or 2nd at most. Schneider is the only one on that team worth anything, there's not even a fire sale in their future.

I don't think you know what the purpose of a fire sale is.

Cam Atkinson's back hand from the high slot was beautiful. LOVED IT

The ducks leaf game was amazing. So much better then rangers hockey right now. Only saw highlights from the nucks islanders game but it also looked like a great game.

Confused it for a rebuild. People tend to use them synonymously. I apologize.

They have some purely untradeable contracts though, like Clowe and Zajac.

But the majority of his players are on short term deals. He can sell all season long for draft picks to help with the sting of not having a 1st.

I mean, what other option does he have? Ride the season out and see what happens? Glad I'm not in his shoes.

Poor Devils fans.

damn, lots of scary/dangerous plays in the Bruins/Sabres game with players going crashing headfirst into the boards....

What's going on with BUF-BOS? Doing a huge group project all night, can't watch any games.

Boston is known for their toughness.

And yet their star still got cheapshotted.

So maybe goons don't protect your players from getting hit illegally by other goons after all.

They don't, the notion is ridiculous. A fairy-tale perpetuated by people who cannot stand the idea of their favorite sport becoming more about the game and less about fighting and violence.

Yeah, that's my thought too. Boston has with no question the most intimidating team in the league. Didn't stop somebody cheapshotting another player. Just saying.

Why waste your goon by fighting another goon when you can use him to take out the stars on the opposition? It's not like you're going to miss the whopping 2 minutes of icetime he eats up after he's thrown out of the game. Someone else can eat up those minutes, while in the meantime you've neutered the opposition of any offense.

The way things are going, it won't be long until that's a viable tactic in the playoffs. :help:

Yeah I guess McQuaid jumping in and fighting doesn't matter then right? If that's a Ranger getting hit there's no response because this team is vanilla soft and heartless

And yet the hit still happened. And Eriksson isn't any less injured because of McQuaid fighting.

That's not the point people are making, we want guys who do what McQuaid did, sticking up for teammates. You hit our guy we're gonna retaliate. The Rangers are a bunch of *******, soft serve vanilla with sprinkles, Charm Ultra Soft, I can go on

McQuaid did due diligence there. Personally, I don't what else the Bruins were supposed to do there other than what took place.

In so far as the Rangers are concerned, we have shown a proclivity to not respond either in those situations in the recent past(ex: Nash, 2 times and Richards)

Unfortunately, these hits are happening far too often this year and will continue to do so until and unless the league puts their foot down.

You've already done that throughout countless threads, so please don't. We get it, dude.
