Outside of his size advantage Rempe isn't a good fighter. He's not very efficient in using his advantage to lessen the damage he takes. He would have been destroyed during the enforcer heyday

Florida can't keep all of Reinhart/Montour/Lundell without giving up something else right? They'll have like ~20M in space with 13 players signed. Even at league minimum for the other 5 it's only 16M for those 3.

Ok, this may be the only time I say this, but.. refs did a pretty good job there? Hope no one got hurt, was it Marino who kinda got walloped? Either way, props to the one zebra recognizing the scrap on the right of the screen needed the most attention.
Also, goddammit Rempe. He is too young to be making these choices with long term impact. He’s still at an age where dudes crush beers against their foreheads and then chug at a high rate, his car insurance premiums are higher for a reason. And the nhl is just like “now that’s the image we want, that likely sad downfall is years away!”
Figure Montour is the guy who gets left out. Last season looks like the outlier. Not to say RHD won't get paid, just him at market value in Florida isn't likely possible.
And not for nothing, but the Panthers are excellent at finding gems on the scratch and dent table on their blueline.
