OT: Around the NHL: Final stretch to the playoffs

Stars are either playing chicken or died after the Rantanen deal for some reason

They’re missing Heiskanen badly. Harley is good but the majority of that defense is bad. And the offense seems to generate the majority of their chances off the rush rather than offensive zone time to me. And we can’t forget that DeBoer is their coach and this is what his teams do down the stretch.

They have 106 points and are 7-2-1 in their last 10, what am I missing?
They were 35-1-1 when leading after two before that Pens game, and in their last three games they have blown third period leads and wound up losing.

Last night, they blew a 5-2 lead with a minute left in the game.

Maybe it's nothing, or maybe it's a concerning trend heading into the playoffs.

Pete DeBoner is such an overrated coach. If you thought the Stars had any chance at going to the finals with that wanker as a coach, that’s on you.

boston gets it they are tanking with a purpose.

thing is both boston and the rangers were propped up by unreal goal tending.
once you stop getting all world goal tending it exposes flaws, be interesting to see what NY does with that draft pick. there is a chance they are this bad next year as well. depends on Igor (and Fox) more then anything. those two are way below normal performance levels.

I'm glad the Rangers are getting their comeuppance for being total paper tigers for 3 years and that the Pens get to experience it personally with their draft pick now.

I said when Disco was hired that the Kraken would finish higher than the Pens. Kraken will finish 13th in the West. Pens more than likely 14th.

Eat shit FSG and Sullivan.
What's impressive is that even when you were obviously wrong, you brag that you were right all along.

For reference the Penguins have 78 points. Seattle is at 74.
