Shattenkirk will be his usual liability of a self once the playoffs come around. I'd be surprised if Tampa comes out of the East, regardless of how much they beast over the remainder of the regular season. That team is built for the regular season and no amount of Pat Maroon or Barclay Goodrow is going to change that.
Moving this from the zombie Shattenkirk thread. I think people are way overreacting to a bad showing last year in the postseason that was exacerbated by their insane regular season. Before last year this is what the Lightning had done in the previous 5 years:
Lost in 7 to the Caps in ECF (who won the Cup)
Missed the playoffs by a point
Lost in 7 to the Pens in the ECF (Pens won the Cup)
Lost in 6 to Chicago in the SCF
Lost to MTL in 4 (who went to the ECF, knocking off the President's trophy Bruins en route)
It's easy to point and laugh at them for last year but that doesn't exactly read to me as a team and core that "isn't built for the playoffs" even with a couple of clunkers thrown in.
