Lebanc had to do pto's and it's funny because he wasn't a bad player but he's having a good start.

6pts in his first 8 games right now. 1 goal 5 assists.

Pens mods - I can't see that Habs gdt.

I knew this would be a problem if you allowed that user to do GDT's. It's why I asked in the gdt who was doing it.

Great.

Been hearing non-stop hysteria about the Bruins and how awful they are and I go to check the standings and they're one game below .500. FFS

I don't like the Habs and I was cheering for them in that game, Acciari is a dipshit and I was fine with Xhekaj going after his dumb ass.

Seattle needs to shake up that roster. He's doing everything he can to get depth scoring and he's not getting anything. Wright couldn't score in an empty net 10ft out.
Gourde 0g 3a through - 5.1M...at least that contract ends in the summer
Tanev 1g 1a - 3.5M
Wright's a disappointment so far
Grubauer .886 - 5.9M
Stephenson, Schwartz, Beniers overpaid
Dunn's missed 9 of 13 games

They got 10 Forwards making 3.5M or more. Really limits your flexibility.

They just don't have enough guys outplaying their cap hits.

Yeah it's odd how bad the depth scoring has been this year. Meanwhile Eberle, McCann, and Beniers have been good. Disco is trying a ton of shit too so something will stick. I think one of the biggest issues is he's having to make Wright work and it's just not working for any coach there. They need to deal his ass for a player that works for them. They've done jack shit for Disco with that roster.

If you fire a Trotz, you're looking for another Trotz

and my personal fav from a number of posters over the years:

"Who else are you gonna get if you fire Sullivan?"
What they never understand about that statement is if you fire Mike Sullivan you're looking for a Mike Sullivan. But the Mike Sullivan we have isn't even that Mike Sullivan anymore.

The same was when they fired Dan Bylsma, you're looking for a better version of Disco. There's a "Mike Sullivan" out there and it could be Todd Nelson, it could be Gerard Gallant, it could be literally anyone else because Mike Sullivan was the closest choice to hire after Mike Johnston. He'll it could be f***ing Kirk MacDonald.

Mike Sullivan isn't even the Mike Sullivan they thought they have. So they can go eat shit with that comment. Mike Sullivan hasn't been that version after 2017. He quickly lost the plot.

How is that possible? They fired a veteran former Cup winning coach for an unproven commodity (at the NHL level). I thought that wasn't allowed.
It's not allowed if you've got an ownership group full of Masshole Chowderheads who don't know or give a f*** about hockey, they just know they bought a team and it says on Sullivan's resume he won back to back Cups once.

I know it's a crude comparison, but honestly the defense of "then who do you replace Sullivan with, huh smart guy?" reminds me of the relationship thing where someone sticks with a significant other who cheats on them and treats them like crap all because "maybe the next bf/gf might murder me in my sleep". Might as well stay with the disrespectful cheater since the next one might be Jack the Ripper!

It's funny how much FSG latched on to Sullivan and he's done jack shit since they bought the team and keep praising him while buying the team because they've been contenders each year but their blind faith in Sullivan won't let them see why this team isn't one anymore - Mike Sullivan. Lol

I read the Oilers traded for Attard out of PA and had my hopes up it was Sully. But I totally read that headline wrong.

Woodcroft is a better coach than a fair few in this league. He shouldn't be out of work like this just because of a bad start to a season.
Not opposed at all to German coaching though. Nobody understands hard work like them.
I put Woodcroft in the same category of coaches as Sturm. They are young, upcoming coaches with new ideas.

Sturm had a lot of success with the German national team and did a good job as an assistant in LA. He brings structure to a team and knows how to adjust his system accordingly.

Sturm and Woodcroft both would be a good choice to work with young players.
